How To Use The Torque 35

Using the Torque 35 can be a bit challenging since it’s a compound bow and not a traditional firearm. The single most important mechanic for this weapon is charging your arrows.Holding the fire input will draw the arrow back, increasing its damage and projectile velocity. This weapon willnotone-tap in core MP if you don’t fully pull the arrow back. A fully-drawn arrow prevents you from sprinting, sobe mindful of your positioning.

you may press reload with a fully-drawn arrow to reset the arrow without firing the weapon.

Since it’s a bow, you’ll need to nock an arrow with each round.Mag Holsterdoesspeed up the reload, but it has no impact on draw time; your fire rate cannot be modified through perks.

Arrow Types

The Torque 35 has six arrow types you can use, all of which can be configured in the Gunsmith menu.

One taps from the chest and up.

Standard arrow velocity and draw time.

One taps from the legs and up.

Slow arrow velocity and draw time.

No

Caustic Arrow

One taps from the chest and up. Releases Tear Gas on impact.

Snapshot Arrow

One taps from the chest and up. Creates thermal imaging of targets near the arrow.

Yes

From our testing,Snapshot Arrows are the best ammo type for the Torque 35.They function the same as default arrows but have the added benefit of scanning targets. It doubles as a Snapshot Grenadethat you may recover, making this incredibly helpful in Hardcore playlists, one-life modes like Search and Destroy, and even Warzone.

Run And Gun Torque 35 Loadout

There isn’t much to go over with the Torque 35 in terms of Gunsmith builds. Your only attachment option is your choice of arrow. We highly recommendSnapshot Arrowsin virtually every case. It doesn’t affect your draw time, velocity, or even the weapon’s damage profile. You simply get free Snapshot Grenade scans every time you fire the weapon, kill or not. It’s incredibly strong for one-life modes and a solid way to kill enemies from a distance.

What you pair with the Torque matters a lot more than the weapon itself.Your secondary should be something built for close-quarters combat, ideally an SMG or a set of akimbo pistols. The Toque counts as a secondary weapon, so finding a good weapon to pair with it shouldn’t be difficult.

Loadout Recommendations

We recommend you run theGunslinger Vestwith the Torque 35. This often overlooked vest gives you a ton of benefits:

The only major downside with this vest is the lack of a primary weapon, but that’s fine in this case.Pair the Torque 35 with the WSP Stinger, ideally an akimbo build. These weapons destroy enemies in close quarters, which is the main engagement range the Torque 35 struggles in. Instantly swap to your akimbo pistols when fighting up close, and swap to the bow when fighting targets at a distance.

As for perks, we highly recommendRunning Sneakersin the boot slot. Since you fully restore stamina on kills, you’ll be able to tactical sprint virtually all the time—especially if you runBattle Ragein your tactical slot. We then runCompression Plateto restore HP from kills andTac Maskto become immune to Tear Gas. If you become affected by gas while holding the Torque, you’ll be unable to fire. Finally, we useMarksman Glovesto lower the Torque’s aiming idle sway.
