In short,Slicing is a hacking mini-gamethat requires you toselect a group of symbols in an attempt to get them in the correct order and placement.If you haveselected the correct symbol but placed it in the wrong position,its icon will turnyellow.It will beblue and cannot be reselected or repositioned if it’s in the correct position.Think of Wordle but with icons.
Choosing the wrong symbol will cross it out,essentially having you waste one of your guesses.No icon can be used twice,so once you get one correct, even in the wrong position, you will have a general idea of what goes where and what you should guess next.

How To Make Slicing Easier In Star Wars Outlaws
If theSlicing mini-game is just not clicking with youwhatsoever, you canalter a few optionsin the game’s Settings to make it much more manageable for yourself if needed.
To do this, open thePause Menu,then navigate to the ‘Settings’ option. From here, select the ‘Gameplay’ tab. Once here,scroll down the list of optionsuntil you reach the ‘Mini-Games’ section. In this section, there will be an area dedicated toSlicing,where you canadjust some of the settings to make it more manageablefor yourself.
Here, you canchange how many attempts you havewhen attempting to Slice,change the symbols to numbers,and can evenoutright remove the mini-game from the game entirelyif you don’t want to deal with it at all. So, if you’re not vibing with this particular mini-game, you can - hopefully - make it so that you can!
