Hailey is the latest addition toThe First Descendant’scharacter roster. This cold-blooded sniper uses a massive railgun to obliterate her enemies from a distance, dealing massive damage to Colossi while keeping her teammates safe. She’s an incredibly powerful character in the right hands, but she’s also a royal pain to acquire.

To unlock Hailey as a playable Descendant, you’ll need to research all of her components, But unlike other Descendants who drop from Amorphous Materials or dungeons, Hailey’s components are tied to seasonal content and a fragment system. Before we cover her crafting costs, let’s first explain where Hailey’s components drop from and how her grind differs from other Descendants.

How To Unlock Hailey

Hailey’s crafting materials drop from Invasion missions and certain [Hard] dungeons. Hard mode content is unlocked upon completing the campaign, while Invasion missions are tied to theInvasion seasonal questline.

Unlike most Descendants, Hailey’s components don’t drop as crafting blueprints, Instead, Hailey’s components drop asfragments. You’ll need36 of the same fragment type to forge one of Hailey’s components.

On paper, this makes the grind less repetitive since you’re able to play different Invasion missions and dungeons to earn Hailey’s components. In practice, however,Hailey issignificantlymore grindy than other Descendants, rivaling Ultimate Descendants. We highly recommendonly clearing Invasion dungeons for her components. There’s a good chance her components will receive changes in a future patch, so don’t burn yourself out.
