You can start training teachers and staff from the moment you hire them. If you have the game’s tutorial turned on, it’ll give you some guidance. However, here we’ll discuss why training is important, the proficiencies available, and all the different training methods.

How To Recruit Teachers And Staff

Before you can train your faculty, you first need to knowhow to recruit them. In the early days you can only recruit staff from the Talent Marketplace, but as you upgrade your school, you’ll be able todo more advanced searchesfor the type of staff you need.

To recruit staff,open the Recruitment/Admissions menuby selecting it from the radial menu on your left, or by going to the teachers or staff profiles on the bottom bar of your screen, then selecting eitherTeacher RecruitmentorSupport Staff Recruitment.

Once it’s open, you’ll recruit teachers from the middle tab, and support staff from the third tab.

Why Is Staff Training Important?

Once you have the staff you need, you need to start training them. As your school grows and upgrades, and you admit more students, your staff will need totrain their skills to handle the academic and support demandsto keep everyone successful and happy.

How To Improve Staff Training Proficiency

A staff member’sTraining Proficiency isn’t for a specific role. Instead, it improves their ability to go through training so they can continue to be trained forhigher proficiency levels.

When you’ve unlocked the dispatch map (by researchingSchool Reform I) and sent out your first dispatch team, you’ll discover theOld South Training Academy. You can send up to three of your staff here to train their Training Proficiency.

The first few times,your group will simply “audit” the course, which is free, but eventually you’ll have to spend money to send your staff here.

What Are Certificates?

Certificates are earned by teachers and staff bycontinuing to work in the role you’ve given them.The longer they work in that role, they’ll automatically gain their respective certificate.

These certificates not only give them a boost to their base abilities, but also make themeligible for higher positionsthat require a certificate.

For example, a chef will need aCooking Certificate in order to work in the Cafeteria, so they will first need to keep working in the Food Tent until they earn the Certificate.

While staff can hold more than one certificate, ateacher will only ever get one type of Teaching Certificatein the particular course they taught in.

How To Train Your Teachers And Staff

There are several ways to train your teachers and staff, but how andhow many you can train at oncedepends on where you are in the game.

Early Game

The only way to train teachers or support staff in early game isby using the Headmaster’s Office, and you can only trainone staff member at a time.

There are three ways to do this:

Mid-Game

To train more teachers and staff at one time, you’llneed to unlock the Training Room. This can be opened as early as thesecond season provided you do the respective research.

Once it’s unlocked, you can build a Training Room anywhere in your school, and then use it totrain an additional four staff members at a time.

End-Game

During end-game you will have a lot more staff on your hands that will need training. To handle this, just build more Training Rooms. Each Training Room built offersfour more training slots.

Remember that the more rooms you add, themore strain on the Management Departments, so verify you’re training your Directors and adding more Management Offices.
