How To Prepare For The Argentavis
Taking on an Argentavisis a difficult task. It can also bejust as dangerous even if you are of the right level. You’ll need toprepare for the hunt.
Equip aLongneck Rifle or Crossbow. Bring someTranq Darts or Arrowsalong.
Narcotics
Forkeeping the Argentavis knocked outuntil it’s tamed. Narcoberries are among the most basic things to use.
Raw Meat, Superior Kibble
You’ll need these totame the Argentaviswhen it’s knocked out. Kibbles work faster, but Raw Meats will also do.
Trap Materials
ensure youcraft Stone structureslike Double Doorways and Double Doors. You’ll need them for the trap.

How To Trap The Argentavis
The Argentavis is aflying, agile creature. You have totrap it to capture it. It will help you tame it faster and make capturing it easier. There aremany ways to trapthe prehistoric raptor, butthe Doorway trapremains the most basic and effective.
How To Do It
The Trap
Create a structure where youplace three Double Doorways–two on top of each other, and one parallel to them. It shouldstand on a Stone Platform with a Stone Trapdooras roofing. Place Stone (or Wood) Fences on either side. Your smaller dino (a Pteranodon) should beable to fly through. The Argentavis shouldn’t be able to follow through.
Luring
Fly to the Argentavis andtrick it to follow you. you may optionallyuse a baitto lure it into the traps. Make sure tostay in front of itso its attention towards you lures it into the trap.
Build these toolsto knock the Argentavis out. Make sure thatyou’ve researched these itemsbefore going to capture the creature.
Definition
Bows/Crossbow
You can use thisif you want to capture an Argentavis earlyin the game. Make sure tobring plenty of tranq arrows!
For advanced players. Remember tocarry extra darts.
Tranq Darts/Arrows
These allow you toget the creature in a dazewhile keeping a safe distance.Aim for the headfor maximum torpor.
You must monitor the Argentavis’ torpor levels. If it looks like it’s about to wake up, use additional tranquilizers.
How To Tame And Equip The Argentavis
Once the Argentavis is out, it’s time tobegin the taming process. You can also planhow to care for itonce it’s among your stable of dinos.
Feeding
The Argentavis’ appetiteconsists of Raw Mutton, Prime Meat, and Superior Kibble.Place these in its inventoryto feed it. Among the three,Kibble is the most effective feedto speed up the taming.
Use Narcotics
You canuse Narcoticsto keep the Argentavis knocked out. Aquicker and easier wayis to also use Narcoberries.Keep an eye on its torporand feed these as needed.
