Kolmstein is a cold and desolate landscape inDungeons of Hinterberg, teeming with monsters and slayers alike. You’ll face some of your greatest challenges here, both with puzzles and enemies, but it’s nothing you can’t handle with the right preparations. In your pursuit of completing every dungeon, you’ll inevitably come across these frosty locations.
The Snowy Summit is one such dungeon, and we’ll help walk you through the puzzles contained within. With a bit of guidance, you’re able to make your way through the dungeon and be well on your way to completing every dungeon Hinterberg has to offer a slayer.
How To Reach The Snowy Summit
If you want to reach the Snowy Summit dungeon, you’ll need toselect Kolmstein as the regionfor the day. From there, you’ll want to head down the slopes andtake the chair lifts.
Once you’re clear of the chair lifts, you canmake a left and take the winding path up the mountainand cross the goo bridge to enter a dark tunnel.
Several points in the tunnel will be occupied by monsters, so clear them out as you descend into the depths of the cavern. Once you reach the bottom, you’ll need touse your ray beam on the icicles lining the ceilingto create a makeshift bridge.
Once the icicles have fallen,climb the little ladder and hop acrossto reach the dungeon and unlock a fast travel point.
Snowy Summit Puzzles
When you first enter the dungeon, you’ll seea large pink mountainsimilar to the other dungeons in Kolmstein. This one will combineseveral types of puzzlesto keep you on your toes.
Below are the different puzzles broken down into theirprimary features in the order they appearas you progress through the dungeon.
Snowflake Puzzles
The first puzzle you’ll come across involves whimsical snowflakes that harbor a yellow crystal in the center.Use your ray beam to hit the snowflakesfrom afar and alter the environment.
Use your hoverboard to get around faster, as this dungeon is quite large.
At the beginning of the dungeon, you’ll use this toraise and lower icy platformsso Luisa can make her way across the slopes. Continue through the mountain until you come across several lasers firing on floating cliffs. Asnowflake will be hidden in the hollowed out cliffin the center.
Fire at the snowflake tolower the icy gateat the opposite end of the rail. Use your hoverboard to pass through it, thenstrike the snowflake from the opposite side twice. This will extend a bridge for you to cross. Interact with the snowflake again two times toactivate the railso you can progress to the next area.
The next portion involvesclimbing the mountain to reach the next puzzle, but it’s a straightforward walk.
When you come to the floating snowflakes intermingled with rails, you’ll have to get creative. Rather than hop onto the activated rail,strike the snowflake to light up the rail to the left.
Take it and interact with the snowflake again after reaching the platform tolight up the next hoverboard rail.
Once you’re on the furthermost platform,strike the snowflake that was previously hidden, then walk around the corner to hit the main snowflake so you can get back to the beginning.
Interact with the snowflake one more time to complete the puzzle andride both rails on the rightto the next area.
Ice Block Puzzles
The next set of puzzles involvesmoving ice blocksinto position. The first puzzle has you push an ice block up against the right edge, thenpush it in front of the laserso you can cross into the next area.
The second ice block puzzle is a bit more tricky. Below are the best steps to complete the puzzle, as there arerocks that blockyour path:
The directions are given as if you arefacing the climbing wall.
Once you get into the next area, you’ll need touse your ray beam to slice through icicleson the ceiling so you can hop across them.
The final ice block puzzle will have youmoving two blocks this time: one with a laser on top and a standard ice block. The first step is tocut through the icicleso that it plummets into the floor.
Then,move the laser block to the right, then back so it hits the icicle. Push it to the right again, then forward, then right.
Move the block back until it hits a pink rock towards the center, thenshift it back into the icicle. Send the block sliding into the climbing wall, thenpush it all the way to the leftso that it’s up against the laser.
Follow thesame movement pattern with the regular blockto get it in positionagainst the climbing wall. This way, you may scale the wall without getting struck by a laser.
Laser Puzzles
The final set of puzzles will have youadjusting lasers to reach the exitportal. First off,pick up the golden gemfrom the active laser andmove it to the inactive oneto light up the rail. Ride it to the next area where you’ll face a similar dilemma.
In this area,remove the first golden gemand take the rail to the next area. Then,pick up the second golden gemand take it up top to the inactive laser.
Place the gem inside toextend a bridgeso you can fetch the first gem andplace it in the second laseron the now-connected platform.
This activates the big rail in the middle of the cavern.
Take the rail to the top, wheremany lasers fire offin a pattern. Keep an eye out andquickly run between the lasersand avoid being hit. The angles of the lasers will get tighter as you race up the mountain, so be prepared to take a few hits.
Once you’re past the lasers, all that’s left is toclimb the side of the mountainuntil you reach the access portal. After you get there,collect your stampand exit the dungeon to return to Hinterberg and continue to enjoy your slay in town.
Before you leave, make sure tograb the treasure chest near the exit, accessible via hoverboard rail, to get a powerful new sword enchantment!
