Over a dozen dungeons wait for you inDungeons Of Hinterberg. Each one poses unique challenges and obstacles for you to overcome using your newfound magical abilities. Inside the dungeons are both puzzles and monsters that will attempt to bar you from leaving, but a quick wit can help.
Every dungeon is different, but there are tips and tricks to complete them all. Here, we’ll break down how to find and complete the Shredding Facility dungeon in Doberkogel later in the game, since it’s not available right away. You’ll be well on your way to completing every dungeon in Hinterberg.
Where To Find The Shredding Facility
To get to the Shredding Facility, head to Doberkogel and make your waytowards the tentacle bridges to the north. Cross them to reach the Shredding Facility. It’s on a ledge that you may’t reach on your own.
Instead,use your ball and chain to pull a metal cubetowards the ledge. Get it into position so you canclimb up and access the portal. You’ll alsounlock a fast travel locationso you may easily come back later!
Shredding Facility Dungeon Puzzles
Inside the Shredding Facility are aseries of puzzlesyou’ll need to solve to reach the exit. We’ve broken them up into two parts to make it easier to follow along in case you get stuck or need help figuring out a piece of the puzzle.
Ball And Chain
As soon as you enter the dungeon, you’ll need todrop a wrecking ball on the yellow pressure plate. Rush through the now open door to reach the next area. In the next room,descend the ladder, go underneath the conveyor belt, and up the stairs topress a red button.
This switches the direction of the conveyor belt.
Backtrack to the top anddrop a wrecking ball on the pressure plate. Step onto the conveyor belt andhurry through the gatebefore the wrecking ball goes off.
In the next area, you’ll need toclimb along the ledgesto reach the next room and puzzle. A conveyor belt will continually bring boxes to you before they are battered by the rotating blades. Step up to the platform and use your ball and chain to hook and pull the box off the conveyor belt.
From there, use the ball and chain todraw the box towards and through the crateso that it settles on the pressure plate. You’ll encounter a series of conveyor belts in a cavern after that.
Simply go with the flow andstop on the corresponding platformsto press a button and change tracks.
In the next room, you’ll need tocreate a path across the water. Drop down andclimb the opposite ladder to press a button. Then, return to where you came in andride the conveyor belt to the section on the right. Press the button here twice to connect to the exit of the room.
Return to the first buttonand press it to make a path thatsnakes around the water. Climb back up the original ladder andride the conveyor belts to the other side of the room,where a faster belt will move you through a cavern with ease to a Waystone.
Conveyor Belts
After the Waystone, proceed to the next room. Here, you’ll need topush the red button to move the rotating bladesout of the way. so you can move around them and climb a ladder. The ladder will leadover the conveyor beltinto a storage area. Climb up the stairs then drop down to push a red button.
The buttondeposits a metal boxonto the conveyor belt. You’ll need torace back to the startto move the rotating blades out of the way – and fast!
If you fail, the box will be destroyed and you’ll have to do it all over again.
Once the rotating blades are moved, all you need to do is use your ball and chain topull the box off the belt. Drag it to andthrough the cratewith a pressure plate, thendrop a wrecking ball on the secondpressure plate. Hurry through the open gate to the last puzzle and Waystone.
In this room, you’ll need totransfer the box from one track to another. However, the track will only move when youpush and pull the slime blocksto get across, sotiming is key.
When you’re ready,press the red button to summon a box.
Hurry across the ravine, pausing as needed, toreach the metal platform. Once you reach it, the box should be near. ensure to stop the conveyor belts anduse your ball and chain to transfer the box. Once it’s on the new track,start the belts again and follow the boxto the end.
It will be dropped off near an open crate. Drag it throughuntil it hits the pressure plateand opens the door. Head through the final door and up the stairs tocollect your stampand exit the dungeon!
