Elden Ring’sShadow of the Erdtree DLC introduces new bosses, weapons, quests, and puzzles to solve as you journey across the Land of Shadow. You may remember some of the paintings scattered across the Lands Between, which led you to locations across the map on an Elden Ring scavenger hunt.
The Spiraltree Seal,one of the best Sealsintroduced in Shadow of the Erdtree is locked behind one of these painting puzzles. Once you’ve had some time to explore the Land of Shadow, collecting Scadutree Fragments anddefeating some of the best new bosses, you’ll be ready to tackle this challenge.
Spoilers for the main DLC bosses are found in the warning below.
You mustdefeat both Messmer The Impaler, andRomina of the Bud, then useMessmer’s Kindlingto unlock Enir-Ilim before you can complete this puzzle.
Once these tasks are complete, you may follow the guide below to earn theSpiraltree Seal.
Where Is The Sacred Tower Painting?
To get the Spiraltree Seal, you’ll first need to findThe Sacred Tower Painting.
The Sacred Tower Paintingis hidden within theGravesite Plainstarting area.
However, before you’re able to get to the painting, you’ll need to make a trek starting from theScorched Ruins Site of Grace.
Head toward the cliffsnortheastof the Scorched Ruins, thenfollow the wall until you reach a cavenext to a small grave site.
Head inside andclaim The Sacred Tower Painting.
How To Solve The Sacred Tower Painting Puzzle
The solution location is found near theNorthern Nameless Mausoleum in the northwestern sectionof the Land of Shadow.
Start from theHigh Road Cross Site of Grace,then head east toward a lake, just slightly north of the Moorth Ruins.
Alternatively, you can skip past this part and start at theAncient Ruins Base Site of Graceinstead, where you’ll continuesouthtoward the Spiritspring.
Head north from the lakeuntil you approach astatuein your path – go around it andfollow the linear pathto the other side.
From here,continue hugging the left wallas you progress through the next area, as you’re ultimately trying toloop around to the western portionof the map, near theTemple Town Ruins.
While you’re hugging the left wall, you’ll see a blockedSpiritspringin front of you,east of the Temple Town Ruins.
You mustdestroy a stack of stoneslocated just to the north of the Spiritspringto unblock the path.Follow the slope to the top and you’ll see the rocks.
If you haveMargit’s Shackleon you, you can just use that item on the Spiritspring statue and it will destroy it without needing to complete the puzzle as intended.
Once that’s done, take the Spiritsprings to the top of the plateau, where you’ll find theNorthern Nameless Mausoleum.
Locating The Sacred Tower Painter
Go past the Northern Nameless Mausoleum and look over the edge to thenorthwest– there’s a slightly loweredge you may drop onto.
Follow the path from this ledge, and stop at the large, jagged stones near the edge of the cliff.
Approach the stonesand thepainter will appearbriefly, then fade away.
Once the painter fades,you’ll receive the Spiraltree Sealas a direct drop.
This seal gains S-Scaling in Faith, making it one of the best seals to use forany faith-based incantation.
