While you might be used to very easy side quests inFinal Fantasy 14, many will ask you to think carefully and figure out what they are asking of you on your own. Dawntrail adds one such quest, which warns you that there will be little guidance and you must analyse and figure out the quests' hints on your own.
Once a Riddler, Now a Ruler is this side quest, and can be picked up in Tuliyollal once you reach a certain point in the main scenario. There are three riddles to solve to complete the quest, and they all require some thinking.

How To Start Once A Riddler, Now A Ruler
you may begin this side quest once you complete Road to the Golden City, a Level 95 scenario quest that will take you back to Tuliyollal upon completion. To begin the quest, speak to the Nostalgic Attendant on the east side of the city (X: 15.3, Y: 6.3).
At the moment,this quest’s dialogue has some heavy spoilersfor a cutscene that takes place in the main scenario quest that takes place immediately after Road to the Golden City:Dawn of a New Tomorrow.

You should make sure youcomplete this main scenario quest before starting Once a Riddler, Now a Ruler.
How To Solve The First Riddle
A great hall rests upon buried shells of old, where palm trees tower over sands gleaming gold.
This riddle refers toXbalyav Ty’e, the restaurant on the beach. Head to the immediate west of the restaurant on the sands(X:11.7, Y:14.5), and you’ll find the spot you’re able to interact with, where you’ll find the second riddle.

How To Solve The Second Riddle
Weathered planks creak, quietly guiding the way, to a verdant bed of green washed with sea spray.
This riddle refers to thevery end of the pier to the south of the city, which has a planter with some bushes and trees(X:10.3, Y:21.9). The interactable spot is hidden on the southern edge of the planter and contains the third and final riddle.

How To Solve The Third Riddle
A thoroughfare worn smooth speaks of journeys come to end─reason and resolve, set in stone, with duty contend.
This riddle refers to thestatues found on Morrow’s Measure, specifically the final statue that details Gulool Ja Ja’s victory over Valigarmanda(X:10.9, Y:13.2). The interactable spot is behind the statue and is where you’ll find the treasure.
