Dungeons Of Hinterbergprovides the opportunity to delve into dangerous and whimsical places that challenge reality, all in the name of adventure and monster slaying! Not every dungeon is available right away, but as you explore the world of Hinterberg, you’ll come across more portals to dungeons.
The Old Quarry is one such dungeon, and it will require a bit of critical thinking to get through it. Thankfully, we’ve broken it down step by step so you may walk right through the dungeon and emerge victorious. Clearing the Old Quarry brings you one step closer to completing all 25 dungeons and becoming a master slayer!
How To Find The Old Quarry
The Old Quarry isunreachable until you progress furtherwith the story. As you progress,magical bridges will appearand allow you to cross the gap to the dungeon and encounter it.
The Old Quarry can befound in Doberkogel, near the lake. Take the bridge up and around to reach the dungeon. Be warned, it is ahigher difficulty than mostof the other dungeons in the region, so make sure you’re prepared before heading in!
There’s a conveyor belt that will bring a treasure chest to you if you interact with it!
Old Quarry Puzzles
The puzzles within the Old Quarry willchallenge your technical knowledgeand prowess, as you’ll have towork quickly and efficientlyto solve each one.
Since there are so many puzzles, it can be overwhelming all at once. We’ve broken them down for you so you can follow along easily!
Terraforming The Quarry
When you enter the dungeon, you’ll need topush and pull platforms by using your ball and chain. Pull the blue platforms to create bridges and ledges to climb along. Make a right and follow the corridor to reach an open room where you’llface a handful of monsters. Dispatch them and continue forward.
For your next challenge, you’ll need to use your ball and chain topull a metal box out of your path. Climb over it to enter the next room, then moseyup the hillto reach the next room. To your left will be a ledge you can climb over.
Don’t forget toopen up the chestin this area!
Do so andkick down the ladderyou come across. Use your ball and chain tolift the blue platform, then hop onto it and haul Luisa into the next area.
When you reach the next area and pull the blue block, you’ll enter a fight in the room you just closed off. Once the monsters are defeated, you can proceed forward.
Head up the stairs and use your ball and chain to pull the small blue block, then pull the metal chest down so you can use it to weigh down the pressure plate. A gate will open and you can move on.
The Old Ball And Chain
In the next area, you’ll need topull out a blue block, then drag a metal blockover to the ledgeand climb up. From there, you’ll have to continuallypull blue blocks and alternate themas you make your way higher up onto the metal platform.
Once you reach the path blocked by rocks,place a Wrecking Ball on the ramp, then pull the blue block to launch it. Press the main magic attack button todetonate the Wrecking Balland open a new path.
Make your way across and take the elevator. Follow the conveyor belt down, thenascend the ladder insidethe ruined shed. Continue along the rubble until you reach a red button. Press the button tostop the second conveyor belt– and the block on it.
Do so when it’s in range so you can use your ball and chain to pull it off the track.
Cross the conveyor belt on the ground andpress the button on the other side to change directions, then drag the metal block onto it. The block will ride along anddrop into place on the pressure plate. Continue through the gate to the next puzzle.
Climb around the side of the tower to get on the right side of the walkway!
The next puzzle is a little tricky. You’ll need toorganize the conveyor beltsto guide a metal block along the track. There are three buttons that impact the track.Use all three buttonsto create an almost finished track, then wait for the block to snake its way around.
Press the button off to the side to summon a block!
After the block makes itpast the first rotatable partfor the belt,use the right-most button againto change the track and finish the loop, allowing the block tosafely reach the bottomwhere the pressure plate waits.
Use the ball and chain todrag the blue block into a ramp, then climb up and make your way to the exit.
Old Quarry Final Battle
Once you reach the top of the industrial tower, you’llface off against a series of monsterseager to fight. Defeat all the waves of enemiesusing magic and your best Attack Conduitsto free yourself from the arena.
After all enemies are defeated, you can hurry tocollect your Old Quarry stampand then use the exit portal to wrap up the dungeon. You’llhead back to Hinterbergwith yet another dungeon under your belt!
