If there’s any genre of television where fans have their own reasons for watching, it’s reality TV, and nobody seems to recognize this quite likeThe Crush House. This indie title puts you in the shoes of the cameraperson shooting a reality show where not everything is always as it seems.
Different Audiences – 35 of them, to be precise – tune in at different times, and you’ll need to fully satisfy them by the end of the day to keep them (and the network) happy with you. Some of them want some pretty peculiar shots, but who are we to judge?

Different Audiences Crave Different Content
Satisfy Audiences To Keep The Network Happy (And To Keep Your Job)
As you play through The Crush house, you’ll gradually unlock a variety of differentAudiencesas you keep the show successfully on the air for more seasons, with a few new ones usually unlocking after each successful day you stay on the air. In total, there are35 unique Audience types, each of whom want to see a handful ofdifferent contentwhen they’re watching the show.
These desires are usually pretty self-explanatory, withAudience members leaving comments on what they want to seeto help guide you to the right shots for them. For example, “Butt Guys” only want to see one thing - the Peach Pillow accessory! Oh, and lots and lots of back shots of the cast, too.

No matter the Audience tuning in that day, keep an eye on the commentsto best provide for who’s watching. There’s a not-insignificant amount of crossover between them sometimes - like how The Motion Sick and Slow TV Fans both like nice, steady shots - so do what you’re able to toframe shots welland get as much in as you can.
When you’re filming The Crush House, you’ll see which audiences are on the line from thesymbols at the top of your camcorder screen. These are the Audiences you’ll need to keep in mind for that day’s filming schedule, which means you might need tochange what or how you’re filmingto keep the current audience happy, even if you think something juicier (pun intended) is going on elsewhere.

In viewing a shot through your camcorder, you’ll see thosesymbols appear with point valuesas you record the cast going about their days. This means that the Audience that correlates to that symbollikes what you’re shooting, so the more of that you may provide them with, the better!
If youcontinue satisfying a fully satisfied audience, then you can expect to see their enthusiasm for the show spreading tootheraudiences.Three or more audiences satisfied at oncemeans the show is"on fire,“which is excellent for ratings! Be sure tocheck the details of an audience on your PDAto see how you’re doing with that demographic and the kinds of comments they’ve been leaving so you can know what to expect when they’re watching.

Some Audiences Prefer Certain Cast Members Or Props By Default
When you consider all the different things the Audience wants to see when they tune in to watch The Crush House, it’s probably not surprising thatcertain cast members or props do better with certain Audience types. The cast is with you all season (or until you get canceled), so you may attract viewers that like who you’ve cast.
Their in-game descriptions usually tell you outright if an Audience prefers a certain cast member, but you can still appeal to them even if that cast member isn’t in the house. Suburban Moms love Emile, but they’ll still tune in if he’s not on that season.
Regardless ofwhois in The Crush House, though, what’sbeen placed in various spots around it can help as well, since the same preference applies topropsyou can purchase and tactfully display. Whether they’re props that encourage certain behaviors or household things that lend to the Audience’s general style, you’ll likely earn some good points by getting them in the frame!
Expand the table below for a full list of every Audience type in The Crush House and the kind of content they want to see.
What They Like
The Activists
These guys want to see the Juice dispensers, but they want to see them so they can be upset about it. Hate views are still views!
Art Collectors
The nicer decor around The Crush House, whether it’s prop Paintings/Statues you paid to place or just the decoration around the house. If there’s a piece of art in the frame, you’ll keep them happy.
Male cast members, especially when they’re interacting with one another.
Butt Guys
Any cast members' butts. The more you film the casts' behinds, the better. They also enjoy the Peach Pillowyou can add to the Conversation Pit.
Conspiracy Theorists
Anything that may suggest there’s more to The Crush House than meets the eye, such as the broadcast satellite in the hills behind the house, the Success Slide, the Crush Juice logos.
Crush Fans
The cast in general, no matter how they’re interacting with one another. Practically all conversation is good with them.
The Cynics
Whatever might make someone who hates reality TV in real life annoyed and willing to point out how “fake” the show is. Love, romance, fighting - it’s all planned, and they want to see it so they can say so.
Divorced Dads
Male bonding between the cast members, weight lifting, and The Grillprop for the yard (which scores big points, especially if it’s in use).
Drama Queens
Any conversations, specifically tense ones, between the cast members. If cast members are fighting (especially physically), these viewers want to see it!
Film Students
Good camera work overall. They prefer dramatic angles, shots filmed from above, zoomed in and locked-on shots, focused camera work, and strafing while fixed on one subject.
Fish Freaks
You can shoot the beach or Coco (since she’s wearing fishnet) until you’re able to afford the prop Fish for the tank near the Conversation Pit. Then, if the tank is in the shot, these guys are happy.
Foodies
Any food in general, especially if it’s being prepared. The cast doesn’t always cook their food - sometimes it just materializes as they’re standing around - but anything with food in the shot is a good sell. They really like the pool floaties!
Foot Fetishists
Feet. Wide shots where feet are included are a good way to get those foot photos without cutting other Audiences out.
The broadcast antenna in the hills behind The Crush House.
Gym Rats
Any cast member using the workout equipment on the second floor of The Crush House, but specifically Ayo. There’s a Weight Setfor the Garden, too, for outdoor workouts.
Juice Junkies
Get the Juice Stationsin the shot for these guys - if the Crush logo is involved, they’re probably happy. The cast may also occasionally grab some Crush to drink, so shoot that if you see them.
Landscaping Lovers
Shots where the garden or household plants are in the frame. If you may catch someone using the Watering Canprop, these guys go nuts. In general, Garden shots are your best bet when they’re watching.
Libertarians
Dangerous things like fights and fires, especially if Gunther is involved. They’re pretty happy anytime Gunther is in a shot.
Mega-Fans
Crush House-branded items, anything where the logo is present, especially if someone from the cast is having a deep, “real” moment nearby.
The Motion Sick
Steady camera work! The stiller you are when shooting, the better. They also don’t react well to shots from a height or to ones that are too zoomed in.
Musicians
If there’s music involved, these viewers are tuned in. Unlocking both the Karaoke Machine and Saxophoneare tempting props for these viewers, and they react well to Joyumi and Veer because of this. Film when music is playing, and if it’s audible on the tape for the show, you’re good to go.
Nursing Home Residents
Cast members talking, especially if they’re just sitting down having a casual conversation. They tend not to enjoy drama, fights, or wild camera work.
Pharologists
Any lighthouses. There’s one along the coast that’s free (but tough to shoot), but you can also grab the Lighthouse Statue and Lighthouse Ornamentto keep them happy with more natural shots.
Plumbers
Anything to do with water. The pool and aquarium give good points, as does any sink. They really seem to like the plumbing in Jae’s room in the basement.
Pyromaniacs
These viewers want fire in the shot, no matter how they get it! Buying the Fire Torchesnear the pool can help, but they’ll also react well to shots including the fire pit or the torches there, too.
Schadenfreuders
Anything bad happening, seeing people get blown off, watching you make things awkward by filming too close, and awkward conversations. If you think you’d cringe about having it happen to you, this Audience wants to see it.
Sexy Seekers
The steamier the romance happening on screen, the better! Emile is a great cast member for this one.
Slow TV Fans
Mellow shots, with good crossover between them and the Motion Sick folks. They want steady shots of soothing scenes from around the property.
Spiral Seekers
Items with spiral shapes on them, instead of “emotional” spirals (I made that mistake at first). The pool umbrellas and the Success Slide outside are good bets for this Audience.
Suburban Moms
Romance in general, but particularly when Emile is involved. They like even hints of romance, so casual flirting is always good.
Sybarites
Anything fancy or expensive. The Chandelier seems to be their biggest delight, but they also like the different Statues. If it costs you a lot of ad revenue to place a prop, they’ll probably like seeing it in the shot.
Teens
Cast members being annoying, toilets, butts, fights, and dancing. If you think it’d make a good TikTok, it’s probably a safe bet for the Teen audience.
Voyeurs
Camera angles where the cast doesn’t know you’re there, creepily enough. This can be from behind, from far away while zooming all the way in, through doorways and windows, etc.
The Wholesome
Anything lighthearted, like conversations between friends, hugs near the Hugging Statue, cast members hanging out, and anything that might generally spark joy.
With any luck, you’ll have an Audience cross-over and be able to satisfy a few niche interests at once! The viewers let you know their thoughts regularly, so keep an eye on the comments to appeal to each audience for The Crush House.
