What Is The Ancient One’s Trial?
The Ancient One’s Trial is a recurring public event where you’ll find yourself atop a flying plane, soaring through the game’s world. Your objective is toshoot and pop balloons to rack up pointsandboost your overall score.
To check the current world events in your game, open your map and press ‘X’.
How To Reach The Ancient One’s Trial
To start the trial,teleport to the Teleportation Tower at coordinates (2709, -5662)inChalk Peak. From there, headstraightandupthemountainon its eastern side. You’ll find awinding trailthat’s manageable for your vehicle. However, about halfway up, the terrain becomes rocky, and you’ll need to climb on foot. The path is easily identifiable, so navigating it shouldn’t be too difficult.
Once you reach a certain height, you can use your vehicle again to continue upwards.
How To Activate The Trial
Keep ascending until you reach the summit, where you’ll finda large airplane at coordinates (2355, -5300).Jumpin thecolorful updraftsto launch yourself onto the plane’s back. From there, approach theglowing red sphereand press ‘F’ to activate the trial.
How To Complete The Ancient One’s Trial
Once the countdown begins, use this time to prepare. Equip your guns withcopper ammo to conserve your higher-damage ammunition,as the balloons you’ll be shooting aren’t particularly tough. Weapons with theBounce effect, which makes bullets ricochet, can be particularly effective. Alternatively, consider using weapons with theUnstable Bomber effect, which causes explosions and can also trigger area-of-effect ricochets.
Consider doing this with a friend or others on your server. The final total score is collective, so the more the merrier!
During the trial,prioritize black balloons,as popping one will burst all surrounding balloons.Yellowandred balloonsare also valuable targets, awarding20 and ten points, respectively,when shot. The trial will end after a set time, and you’ll be teleported back to the ground. Your final score will determine the amount ofStellar Planula, Gas,andStardust Sourceyou receive as rewards.
Each week, you can earn rewards at three different levels. You’ll receive varying rewards for scoring 2,500, 4,000, and 5,000 points. If you exceed 5,000 points in a single attempt, you’ll earn all the rewards at once.
