Cooperation with your teammates is the only thing that will lead you out of hell inChained Together. Playing an intense game with your friends is a worthwhile experience; the more teammates you have, the merrier it will be.

While you can practice the game solo, Chained Together is designed to be best played in a multiplayer setting. There are different Multiplayer Modes that you can try out with your team, and you can create your Private Lobby to play with people you know, or you can set it to public if you want more players in the team.

How To Play Multiplayer In Chained Together

Chained Together features bothonline and local multiplayer modes. Right as you launch the game, you’ll see the Play button. Selecting the Play button would immediately lead you to the screen where you’re able to choose if you want to playlocal multiplayer, host a lobby of your own, or join someone else’s lobby.

In online multiplayer,up to four playerscan play together with a minimum of two. The same goes for local multiplayer. There are also three different modes available for playing together with your friends.

InBeginner Mode, you can choose to teleport to the highest point you’ve reached yet, in case you accidentally fall down.Normal Modedoesn’t allow you to teleport, so you’ll have to make your progress again. On the other hand,the Lava Modefeatures a time constraint, so you have to move quickly. Lava Mode also doesn’t allow you to save your game.

There are also two types of chain modes available. In the Opened Chain mode,all players are linked to each otherwith a single chain, which enables more freedom for each of the players compared to the Closed Chain. The Closed Chainlocks all the players together in a circular loopand requires exceptional teamwork and balance.

How To Create A Lobby

To create a lobby, you have to select the Host a Game option from the Play menu. You cancreate a new session here, or load a save file from one of your previous runs. you’re able to also choose to add a password, which will make your lobby private.

If you want to host a public lobby, leaving the password box blank will do that for you. Here, you have to select one of the three game modes, the number of players, and the chain type. Once you’ve done all that, you can hit the Create Session button and be led to the lobby.

How To Invite Friends

Once you’ve created a session, you’ll be moved to a lobby where you’re able to select the appearance of your character while waiting for other players. The best way to invite your friends isvia the Steam Overlay. When you’re inside the lobby, switching to Steam Overlay and right-clicking your friend’s name will show the option to invite them to your game.

If your friend clicks on the link, they’ll be moved to your lobby. Your friends can also join you bylooking up your sessionname from the Join Session menu. If your lobby is private, you need to provide them with the password as well.

How To Join A Session

The best way to join a session is to have the host send you a direct invite on Steam using theSteam Overlay method. However, you can also join a game by selecting the Join Session option from the Play Menu.

Here, if you’re looking for a specific session, you’ll have to enter the Steam name of the host inthe Name Filter box. You can also narrow down the list of sessions by selecting a specific type of game mode or by filtering public or private sessions.

How To Play Local Multiplayer

Just like creating your own session or lobby, you’ll have to specify the game mode and the chain type while creating a local multiplayer game. However, you also have to choose the controller for the first player. You can select it on either akeyboard or a gamepad. All other players will have to use a gamepad.

you may also load a save file while creating a local multiplayer game, which will allow you toresume from the point of your last saved location.
