The Hutt Cartel Vault on Akiva is one of the trickier heists you can pull off inStar Wars Outlaws.Two of the three keycards needed to open it are fairly easy to obtain, but the third - property of the vengeful Surat - is best left until you have some advanced abilities and gear.
If you think you’re up to the task of ripping off the galaxy’s most notorious criminals, read on. This guide will get you into the Hutt Vault in Myrra City, letting you leave five thousand credits richer.
Do some jobs for the Hutts first via Brokers so that you have access to their districts.
Where Is The Hutt Vault On Akiva?
The Hutts keep their cash in theright-hand buildingat the rear of their district on theeast side of Myrra City.The door is guarded at all times by a Gamorrean, but thealley on the right side of the buildinghas a vent that you can crawl through unseen to get inside. Once you’re in,slicing the computerto get the general locations of the keycards is a snap. You can then leave the way you came in, with nobody the wiser.
It’s also possible (albeit more dangerous) toknock the Gamorrean out with the Electro-Shock Prodor distract him with Nix, as long as you’re confident you can quickly override the lock on the main door.
Where To Find Badru’s Keycard
The first keycard belongs to Badru, one of the guardsin the Myrra Hutt Districtnear the vault. Despite what the intel in the Journal says,Badru doesn’t actually carry the card on him, so you don’t need to have Nix steal it. Instead,look on a table under the Hutt Cartel symbolpainted on a building in the main plaza. Just walk straight into the Hutt District from the nearest Fast Travel Point (assuming you’re in their good graces) and you can’t miss it.
Where To Find Makarial’s Keycard
Once your Speeder is equipped to traverse water, travel to theHutt baseon the eastern shore of the lake, near the Imperial Excavation Site. At the northern outpost of the base,climb the cliff wall to the right of the entrance.This will get you past the guards and into the restricted area.
Knock out the guard patrolling in front of the buildingand go inside. Makarial’s Keycard is on a shelf there.
Where To Find Surat’s Keycard
Surat’s Keycard is deep in the main compound of the Hutt Base, further south from where you got Makarial’s. As befitting of the galaxy’s scariest Sullustan, this keycard is one of the most secure in the game.
It’s a good idea tounlock the Electro-Shock Prodfrom the Scavenger Ability set before attempting to steal Surat’s Keycard.
The approach to the base’s restricted area is guarded, but if youstay low,you can use the grass on the right toclimb past the guards, even though it looks like they would be able to see you. Stay on the right side of the base andmake your way to the ladder. Climb to the top; you may have to blast a guard or two, but in most cases you’ll be far enough away from the others that they shouldn’t hear.
The building guarded by anarmored Gamorreanhas the keycard. If you don’t have the Electro-Shock Prod, you won’t be able to take him down quietly; you’ll need to have Nix distract him or risk causing a scene by fighting him. As with most armored enemies, the easiest way to beat the Gamorrean is touse an Adrenaline Burstto stun him, then use a melee finisher before he recovers.
How To Remove The Energy Barrier
Inside the building, a final Energy Barrier is all that stands between you and Surat’s Keycard. Have Nix hold the shutter near the Barrier open, thenquickly shoot both the capacitor inside the shutterand opposite the force field with your Ion Blaster. This will power the terminal, allowing you to open the way in. Swipe the keycard and the other treasures inside and get back to Myrra to claim your real prize in the vault.
