InDisney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll spend a lot of time getting to know various Disney and Pixar characters. Each of them has a unique set of quests you’ll unlock as you become closer friends, and these quests highlight their role in the community at large. Everyone has a place in the village, and even the scheming villains deserve a second chance at being good.

Jafar, newly freed from his lamp, is enjoying his freedom and experimenting with Dreamlight magic. As the ruler of the valley, and his friend, it’s up to you to keep an eye on him and assist his experiments.

How To Make Alchemical Gold

To unlock this quest, you’ll need toreach level four friendship with Jafar. You’ll also need to haveunlocked Ursula and the Fairy Godmother. Additionally, you’ll need to havecompleted The Scientific Method questwith Jack Skellington.

Jafar needs help with experimentation, includingobtaining Iron Dustto create the Gilded Stone and turn iron into gold. As a potentialbenefit to the people of Dreamlight Valley, it’s your job as the ruler to support him.

Gather three Iron Ore, then take them to EVE so she can use her laser to incinerate the material. Once it’s dust,bring it to Jafar in his laboratorywithin the palace.

Your First Alchemical Experiment

Once in the palace,head to Jafar’s laboratoryand speak with him about the next steps. You’ll need tocombine the Iron Dustat the Alchemy Table in the lab.

The Alchemy Table is a stylized stove in Jafar’s laboratory!

With all three Iron Dust together, you’llreceive a small portion of Alchemical Gold! This material is what Jafar was looking for, so show it to him. Though he’s disappointed with the ratio of iron to gold, progress is progress.

How To Get Minor Essences

After some discussion, you and Jafar decide toask other scientific and alchemical mindsaround the valley for advice on your experiments. It seems thatDreamlight magic is different from the magic in Agrabah, so gathering more intel will help you in your experiment.

Finding The Materials

Speaking with each of the aforementioned villagers will reveal more about how Essences work in Dreamlight Valley. Each of them recalls a specific item to extract Essences from, leaving you to catch them all for yourself.

The Borderlands.You’ll want to use your Royal Fishing Rod on the orange bubbles in the quicksand to fish out the stone.

Mini Holiday Tree

Anywhere.Jack Skellington will give you Holiday Seeds to plant, so dig a plot and plant them to let them grow. Come back later to harvest the tree!

Book of Fairy Magic

Ancient’s Landing.At the Docks, you’ll spot a flying book happily flapping its pages. Move in close to pick it up.

With all of the ingredients in your inventory,return to Jafarand hand them over. It will only take him a moment toset up the next stepsin your alchemical experiments.

How To Make Major Essences

The final part of the process is mixing Minor Essences together to make three Major Essences. The ones you’re looking for are:

You’ll need togather the Minor Essences from the resource tablein the laboratory and experiment tofind the right combinationto make the Major Essences.

Ursula, Jack, and Fairy Godmother gave you notes to help, thoughthey only reveal one ingredientfor each Major Essence!

Once you haveall three Major Essences, bring them to Jafar. He’ll examine them and give them back to you, requesting that youcombine them at the Alchemy Table. Use all three Major Essences tocreate the Mysterious Stone!

Show it to Jafar– while it’s not the Gilded stone, there’s something more you can do to try and find it. You’ll need tofind two Emotive Essencesto infuse with the stone. To do this, you’ll need toperform specific actionsto generate the Essences:

After completing those tasks,head to the main Wishing Well in Ancient’s Landing, between the Overlook and the Docks, tosearch for the Emotive Essences. You’ll find the Essence of Wisdom and the Essence of Benevolence.Show them to Jafar, and he’ll combine them for you.

While it doesn’t have the intended effect, he’sgrateful for the assistance. The quest concludes and you’ll berewarded with additional friendship pointsand a letter in the mail from Jafar.
