Bread is a great dish, and a useful ingredient. It comes in all sorts of shapes, sizes, textures, and tastes, and it’s also one of the many dishes you can make inTravellers Rest. Whether it’s plain or dressed up with other ingredients, it’s a quick and easy dish to make.

It’s not one you unlock as soon as you open your tavern, though. It’ll take a bit of effort to get the recipe, and you’ll need some new kitchen furniture to actually make it. If you want to serve your customers some fresh bread for a meal, we’ll tell you how to make it.

How To Obtain The Grinder

To make Bread, you’llneed Bread Dough, and for that you’re going toneed a new crafting stationthat isn’t given to you during the tutorials:the Grinder. Head west into the city, then down thefirst street on the left to Amon’s tavernand speak to him.

You’ll also need to haveunlocked the Bread recipeby spending Recipe Fragments at the Statue of Rygar in thecave north of your tavern.

Ask toshop from him, and you’llfind the Grinder about halfway downhis inventory list for a total ofone gold and 50 silver pieces. Once you’ve bought it, take it back to thekitchen area inside your tavernand place it down with Decoration Mode.

Interact with the Grinder, and you’ll nowhave a recipe for Flouryou can make withany two Grains, such asBarley or Wheat, and each production cyclemakes five Flour. Take it over to theFood Prep Table, and you’ll be able tocraft Bread Doughwith:

You canbuy Kitchen Yeast, and some other ingredients like Lager Yeast,from Amon’s shopin the city.

Every time you make Bread Dough, it’ll take35 in-game minutes for it to process, and you’llget five servingsof it in return. You’ll also need to make sure you haveall three ingredientsin your inventoryin order to make it.

How To Make Bread

Bring the Bread Dough overto the Oven, thenselect the Bread recipefrom the list. It takestwo Bread Doughto make20 servings of Bread, no matter the type of dough, and each one willneed five fuel and 40 in-game minutesto cook.

When it’s done, you caneither add it to the available foodsat your bar, or you canstart combining it with other ingredientsto make additionaldishes like Bread With Tomato or Toast.

Thetype of grainyou use to make the flour canlower or raise the selling priceof the Bread, depending on how expensive the grain is.
