As you progress inOnce Human, you’ll encounter increasingly advanced and complex materials necessary for crafting high-tier buildings, facilities, and even weapons and armor. While this process may seem challenging, the effort is worthwhile, as these upgrades significantly enhance your ability to survive in the Stardust-polluted world, improving your overall chances of survival.
New materials can be found in each region you unlock, and as you approach the endgame content, you’ll find that you need a substantial amount ofTungsten Ingotsfor various tasks. From crafting higher-tier weapons to upgrading your garage and facilities, Tungsten Ingots become essential. This importance means you’ll need to consistently craft them and maintain a steady stockpile.
How To Craft Tungsten Ingots
You won’t be able to obtain any Tungsten until youreach the Red Sands region, where you’ll startencountering Tungsten Ores, one of the two main materials you need. Before that, however, you must unlock a few essential memetics to make this work.
First, you’ll need a tool for mining, which can be eitheranAlloy PickaxeorElectric Drills. Both tools can beunlocked from the Infrastructure memetic tree in tier four.
While both can mine Tungsten,we recommend the drillfor its one-tap capability. Both these tools can be crafted at anIntermediate Supplies Workbench. Next, you need tounlock the Tungsten Ingots memetic, which is also found in the Infrastructure tree.
If you happen to have the Sollar Drill memetic specialization, you can use that as well.
Now that you have the recipe to craft it and the tools to gather the material, the only remaining component is the facility needed for crafting:an Electric Furnace, which must be connected to aSolar Generatorto function.
With everything in place,you can start farming Tungsten Ores, which are scattered throughout the Red Sands region, along withsome Acid.
Acid can be obtained in several ways, either as a drop from enemies or through the well-known passive acid farm,which our guide explains in detail.
With all the materials collected, head to your Electric Furnace and select theTungsten Ingotsrecipe to craft it, which requiresfive Tungsten Ores and oneAcidfor each Tungsten Ingot.
