There are hundreds of items to find inThe First Descendant, yet you’re highly limited in what you can carry. Inventory space isn’t infinite, and finding room to store the game’s best weapons and reactors can prove challenging during mid-game. Thankfully, you can increase your inventory size in a few ways, both directly and indirectly.

In this guide, we’ll cover how to increase your inventory space on your account. From Mastery Rank to the Storage Box system, you have a few ways to keep a sizable arsenal of weapons without having to spend any Caliber or purchase anything from the in-game store.

How To Get More Inventory Space

Currently, there are two ways you can increase your inventory space:

While it’s not technically inventory space, all players also have access to aStorage Boxin Albion, which works similarly to a bank or vault in other games.Your Storage Box can hold additional itemsup to your base inventory limit. For example, if your inventory can hold 100 items, your Storage Box can hold 100 items.

First Descendant Mastery Rank

The Storage Box’s maximum capacity is also affected by your Mastery Rank. We aren’t sure if purchased inventory slots also count.

Mastery Rank

Mastery Rankserves as your only free method of increasing inventory space. Leveling weapons and Descendants for the first time will accumulate MR XP. Once you’ve earned enough XP, you may use the Prime Hands in Albion toincrease your account’s Mastery Rank.

Inventory size increases with each Mastery Rank, but it’s not on a linear curve. The higher your MR, the more slots you’ll earn with each rank. You can find the exact slot progression below.

The maximum number of inventory slots you can earn through Mastery Rank is 150, achieved at MR30.

Purchasing Inventory Slots

Additional inventory slots may bepurchased with Caliber, the game’s premium currency. Each inventory slot costs 25 Caliber. You may buy up to 1,000 inventory slots this way. Considering that’s the same price as a Descendant slot, we don’t recommend buying inventory slots. The Storage Box and diligent item dismantling should be more than enough.

Using The Storage Box

Storage Boxes can be found in Albion and every major outpost in the open world. Interacting with the Storage Box will bring up an inventory menu where you can store any spare items. Bear in mind thatyour Storage Box limit is tied to your Mastery Rank. We suggest you keep spare reactors and external components to free up inventory space.

you may mark items as junk and dismantle them in your Storage Box, the same way you’d dismantle items in your inventory. You can also mark items as favorites, which prevents them from being marked as junk.
