Elden Ringbuilds vary from anime-esque magic users to massive hammer-wielding cavemen, but every build has one thing in common: talismans. There are over 100 talismans in Elden Ring, and these wearable accessories offer unique buffs to attack damage, elemental resistance, and more.
Some talismans are more effective than others, andMillicent’s Prosthesisis among the most coveted. If your goal is to overwhelm opponents with a flurry of attacks, Millicent’s Prothesis gives you a hand in dealing more damage with each successive attack. That said, you will have to cut an NPC’s questline short to obtain this talisman.

How To Get Millicent’s Prosthesis Talisman
In order to get your hands on Millicent’s Prosthesis talisman, you willhave to kill Millicent before completing her questline. However, you’re able to’t kill her until after she travels to theWindmill Heights Site of Gracein theAltus Plateau. Millicent will not drop the talisman if you kill her before this point. You will need to complete a few steps to get her to travel here, including a couple of bosses that will need to be defeated.
Railroading Millicent to Altus Plateau should take about an hour if you follow our fullMillicent quest guide. You start bykilling Commander O’Neil in the Aeonia Swamp inCaelid. He’ll drop the brokenUnalloyed Gold Needlethat you need to take to Gowry in his shack.

Instead of passing time after giving Gowry the Unalloyed Gold Needle, you can save and quit the game and load back in to save time
Bring the mended needle to Millicent, who is rotting at theChurch of the Plague in Caelid, and use it on her to halt the rot from spreading throughout her body. Rest at the nearby Site of Grace and talk to her to begin her journey to the Haligtree.

You may notice she’s missing an arm, and your next step will befetching a prosthetic one from the Shaded Castle in Altus Plateau. If you’re looking at the map of Altus, Shaded Castle is the building to the north situated in a green swamp (yes, it’s poisonous).
You don’t need to scale the castle and fight the boss inside. All you need to do is find achest inside a small room at the northwest corner of the outer wall. Inside the chest is theValkyrie’s Prosthesis. Return to theErdtree-Gazing Hill Site of Gracein Altus Plateau where you willfind Millicent and give her the prosthetic arm.She is now battle-ready and will offer to help you fight a field boss at Windmill Heights.

Travel to Windmill Heights in Altus Plateau, defeat the Godskin Apostle if you haven’t already, and rest at the Site of Grace. Millicent should be standing nearby, this time with two arms. This is the earliest you can obtainMillicent’s Prosthesis.
To do so,you need to attack and kill Millicent. She will drop the talisman when defeated, but this will lock you out of the rest of her questline. You will not be able to obtain Miquella’s Needle if you kill Millicent.
What Is Millicent’s Prosthesis?
Millicent’s Prosthesis is one of the best talismans in Elden Ring for Dexterity builds, twin blades, or weapons with fast attack sequences. The talismanincreases your Dex stat by five, which is decent, but it also raises the power of your attacks with each successive hit.
This talisman stacks with other successive hit buffs, such as theRotten Winged Sword Insigniatalisman (NG+) and theThorny Cracked TearPhysick. We also recommend using theShard of Alexandertalisman, as many successive attack combos come from using Ashes of War.
You can only get one of either the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia or the Millicent’s Prosthesis per playthrough, and killing Millicent early will lock you out of getting the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia.
Millicent’s Prosthesis pairs well with power stancedGargoyle’s Twinblade, the default Ash of War for theRivers of BloodorSword of Night, any weapon using theAsh of War: Wild Strikes, or the newAsh of War: Savage Lion’s Clawfrom the DLC. However, any weapon that utilizes R1 spamming will also do the trick.
