“Summertide Scales and Tales” is the bread and butter event ofGenshin Impact4.8. Its Figurine Fabrication is a unique gacha mini-game that has many great rewards, including a freeKirara. Kirara is a four-star Dendro sword user, and she is a great pull if you are looking for a budget shielder or a cute Dendro character for your team.
Summertide Scales and Tales also introduces a version 4.8 exclusive region called Simulanka. Progressing through the quests of Simulanka and playing the event mini-games is the key to unlocking this character and getting a free Kirara skin!
How To Play Figurine Fabrication
Figurine Fabrication can be unlocked by progressing through the initial quests of Simulanka. In this event,you can spend Starsail coins to obtain “Figurines”, which are small models.
These Figurinescan be placed in yourSerenitea Potor on shelves near the Fantastical Fabricator in Forest of Blessings.
The type or rarityof Figurines you’re able to obtain from the mini-gamehas no impacton the main rewards.
You can giftand receive specific Figurines from friends.
Where To Get Starsail Coins
Starsail coins can be obtained byplaying the sub-event Mosaic of Moments. Mosaic of Moments includes three different mini-games, which you can check below.
Boreal Flurry, Flying Hatter’s Trick, and Metropole Trials havethree to four different parts, and each part willreward you with up to 45 Starsail Coins.
Boreal Flurry
This is a fun event in which you can fly along a path and shoot balloons along the way. As for a tip,use the high AOE attack(right-click for PC users) to make the challenge a bit easier.
Stamina is used for high AOE attacks, but they regenerate quickly enough, so you don’t have to use them sparingly.
Flying Hatter’s Trick
This is a simple arcade event where youcollect mini-figures by moving a hat. Keep in mind to patiently collect the models with your hat, and notice that there will be anarrow indicating which model will be collected.
Use the arrow indication to accurately collect the models andavoid the bombs!
Metropole Trials
A standard combat event where you will have toface multiple waves of enemies. ensure tocheck the Valor buffsand use teams that make full use of it.
If the Valor buff is anElemental Skill damage bonus, it’s better to take characters that deal the majority of their damage from Elemental skills.
Furina,Fischl,Yae Miko, etc. are some characters that deal most of their damage with Elemental Skills.

How To Get Kirara
Simply collect Starsail coins and spend them all on Figurine Fabrication. Kirara can be obtained from the “Summer gifts” section of the event. To unlock her,you must do 60 fabrications, which require a total of300 Starsail coins.
Complete seven mini-games in Mosaic of Moments to get enough Starsail coins to redeem Kirara.
