Some of the best weapons inElden Ringare from the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. To fully take advantage of these weapons, you need to make sure that they are completely upgraded. Luckily, there are a bunch of Dragon Smithing Stones that you may find in the Land of Shadows.
There are a total of 14 Dragon Smithing Stones in Shadow of the Erdtree — out of these, eight are Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones for upgrading normal weapons, and six are Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones for upgrading magic weapons.
Gravesite Plain Dragon Smithing Stones
You will find threeAncient Dragon Smithing Stoneand oneSomber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stonein the Gravesite Plain region.
Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #1
The first Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone isdropped by the Ghostflame Dragon,found in a lakeon the east side ofBelurat Tower Settlement.
You will also find theGreat Katananear the Ghostflame Dragon.
Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #1
From the ‘Pillar Path Waypoint’ Sight of Grace until you see the Suppressing Pillar in the distance.Just keep following the path with the birds,and you should get there without any issues.
Once there,use the elevator to reach the top where you will find a chestwith an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #2
The next Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone isdropped by a Magma Wyrm mini-boss in the Dragon’s Pitdungeon - west of the Suppressing Pillar. Continue to follow the path until you arrive in a large open area with the Magma Wyrm.
Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #3
The last Dragon Smithing Stone in Gravesite Plain isinside the Ruined Forge Lava Intake dungeon. The easiest way to find it is to start at the ‘Castle Front’ Sight of Grace and follow the path southeast.
In the area where you find the first Golem,use the destroyed pillar near the stairsto reach the other side, and thenhead down the ladder at the end to find a lever. Activate it to create a path on top of the lava, which you can use to head all the way up where you will find another Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone and theAnvil Hammer.
Scadu Atlus Dragon Smithing Stones
You will findone Ancient Dragon Smithing Stoneandone Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stonein Scadu Atlus.
Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #2
This one isdropped by a Ghostflame Dragon near the south side of Moorth Ruins. The easiest way to get there is from the ‘Moorth Highway, South’ Sight of Grace and following the cave on the left.
Do not forget to explore theFort of Reprimandwhile you are here - there is some good loot to be acquired!
Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #4
This one is inside theRuined Lava Forge of Starfall Pastdungeon near thesouthwest of Moorth Ruins.
In the area with the Golem Smith (the one with a bowl on the head), you will need to use a lever to open a door.Immediately after exiting the door,look to your right to find another lever. Activate it and quickly step on the door as it goes up.
Reach the forge to get theAncient Meteoric Ore Greatswordand the Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
Cerulean Coast
There is a single Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone that you can find in this region.
Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #3
From the ‘Cerulean Coast’ Sight of Grace,continue forward to come across yet another Ghostflame Dragon. Simply kill it to acquire aDragon Heartand a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
Jagged Peak Dragon Smithing Stones
you’re able to find a total of four Dragon Smithing Stones in the Jagged Peak –two Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stonesandtwo Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones.
Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #5
From the ‘Jagged Peak Mountainside’ Sight of Grace,use a couple of Spiritsprings to reach an area with a lot of dead dragons. From this area, head straight, and you will find the Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone on a corpse. If you have reached the Sight of Grace before Bayle, you have gone too far.
Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #6 and Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #4
You will need tokill Ancient Dragon Senessaxto get both of these Dragon Smithing Stones.
Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #5
For the last one in Jagged Peak, reach thearea with a lot of dead dragonsusing the Spiritspringsnear the ‘Jagged Peak Mountainside’ Sight of Grace. Once there, head left, and you will find it at the end of the path.
Enir-Ilim Dragon Smithing Stones
There is only one Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone that you can find in the Enir-Ilimdungeon. Here is how you can get it:
Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #6
From the ‘Cleansing Chamber Anteroom’ Sight of Grace, turn back until youreach an elevator with two enemiesnearby. Use the elevator to get down, and you will find the Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stoneat the edge of a broken staircase. There will also be a tough enemy here, so be mindful of that!
Rauh Base Dragon Smithing Stones
You will find the remaining two Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones in the Rauh Base, and both of them arelocated inside Taylew’s Ruined Forge dungeon. To reach the Taylew’s Ruined Forge dungeon, head north from the ‘Ancient Ruins Base’ Sight of Grace.
Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #7
Once you are inside,climb the structure in the middle and drop down on the left side after reaching the top to fight two Golems. You will find the Ancient Dragon Smithing Stoneat the edge of the destroyed balcony.
Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone #8
For the second one, you will need toclimb a ladder to activate a lever that will change the direction of the structurein the center. Once that is done, reach the top and jump down from the left side to find the last Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone andTaylew the Golem Smith.
