Last Epochhas plenty of early-game resources to help you beat the campaign. From side quests that give passive points to the powerful crafting system, there are plenty of tools you’re able to leverage to crush the leveling experience and reach the endgame.
One of the most notable early-game power spikes is obtaining Avarice, a Unique pair of gloves that drastically improve your survivaibility thanks to their elemental leech affix. If you’re looking to make your leveling experience a little bit smoother, you’ll want to get your hands on this Unique the second you reach Last Epoch’s second campaign chapter.
How To Get Avarice
You can earn Avarice bycompleting the “Erza’s Ledger” quest by giving the ledger to Erza,notArtem the Gambler. This quest is unlocked upon reaching The Council Chamber hub area in Chapter 2 of the campaign. When you first walk into town, speak to Elder Erza on the western edge of town. He will ask you to find his ledger within an abandoned library a short distance from town.Travel through Last Archive to reach the library.
Once you’re in Erza’s Library, you must eliminate a small group of Void enemies to reach the ledger. It’ll spawn in the top-right corner of the map. Grab the ledger and return to The Council Chamber. It’s here that the quest diverges slightly. You can either give it to Artem the Gambler or Erza.To get Avarice, you must return the ledger to Erza.He’ll give you the Unique as thanks, ending the quest.
What Happens If I Give The Ledger To Artem?
Giving the ledger to Artem will drop Gambler’s Fallacy instead, a Unique amulet that’s best suited for early-game critical hit builds. It’s not as widely applicable as Avarice’s HP leech, hence why most builds suggest grabbing Avarice from this quest instead.
If you gave the ledger to Artem already, you’ll need to make a new character to get Avarice.You can’t redo this quest or obtain Avarice as a random drop. An upgraded version of these gloves can be earned inthe Soulfire Bastion dungeon, but you won’t need a leveling Unique at that point.
Avarice Stats
Avarice is a Unique pair of gloves that drop withgrant life leech with all elemental damage, including melee attacks and spells. It also comes with a leech rate buff (an exceedingly rare stat) and a moderate boost to all elemental resistances. It’s an S-tier leveling Unique that virtually every build will want.
