InFields of Mistria, there are plenty of resources that you’re able to gather, each serving unique purposes — from sprucing up your homestead to upgrading the town’s shops. While Wood and Stone are your go-to materials early on, readily available and easy to gather, finding resources like Glass becomes trickier as you progress.
It certainly helps to know where to find specific resources beforehand because, before you know it, you’ll be swamped with requests for them. Glass is surprisingly easy to find, but without the proper tools and knowledge of its whereabouts, you’ll struggle to get your hands on some.

As Fields of Mistria is currently in Early Access, everything detailed below is subject to change over the course of its development.
Where To Buy Glass
There are various means of acquiring Glass, but theeasiest and most convenientway is tobuy some from the Carpenter’s Shopon the Eastern Road.Glass costs 80 Tesserae apiece, and when you’ve established a successful farm and see the coins rolling in later on, you’ll want to commit to buying them instead of spending days farming for it.
How To Find Glass
Thebig rocksyou find on your farm property or elsewhere in Mistria can sometimes droptwo to three pieces of Glasswhen you break them. To break these stones, however, you’ll need at least aCopper Pickaxe, which you’re able to either craft or buy at the Blacksmith’s shop.
Keep in mind thatbreaking these rocks isn’t the most reliable methodof obtaining Glass, as theytake days to respawn.

Once you’ve cleared off all the big rocks you could find in search of Glass, your next stop should bethe Mines, which unlock once you hit theStone ranking for the town. In the Mines, be on the lookout forenchanterns. These sentient lantern monstersoften drop two pieces of Glasswhen slain and are commonly found throughout the Mines.
Be mindful of the enchanterns found in theTidal CavernandDeep Earthas they are a lot more dangerous than the ones found in the Upper Mines.
How To Use Glass
Glass is pretty self-explanatory and is used to craft almost anything that incorporates Glass, fromwindowstolampsand evendessert casesandcookie jars. Most importantly, Glass is one of the essential materials required toupgrade the Inn, which you’ll inevitably need to do after upgrading Hayden’s barn.
To upgrade the Inn, you’ll need:
That’s ahefty amount of resourcesto initiate an upgrade, but it’s a given as it happens much later in the game.
Beyond its purpose in crafting, Glass is also requested byLanden as part of his quest, and you’ll need to bring three pieces for him to reward you with240 Tesserae. If you’ve got somespare Glass lying around, you could also very well gift it to the villagers and NPCs likeRyisandMerri from the Saturday Marketwill wholeheartedly accept it.
