How Does Cupid’s Counseling Work?

If your Simhas a romantic partner(or a few) in their lives, it’s only naturally that things might get tough or stale sometime down the line - and that’s fine! Before they decide to call it quits, though, consider checking outcouple’s counselingthrough Cupid’s Corner.

To do this, navigate to theCupid’s Corner appon either your Sim’s phone or a nearby PC, and you’ll see the option toGo to Cupid’s Counseling with (Partner)on the menu. This will cost§1,000 Simoleons, but isn’t love worth fighting for?

When the counseling session begins, the counselor willask your Sim how they’re feeling, and they follow it up byasking the partner Sim the same questionin a series ofpop-upsafter your Sims leave their current lot to head out.

After that, the counselor will askwhat about your relationship you’d like to discusswhile they have the two of you there, and you’ll be able tochoose one qualm to bring upfrom a list of four potential issues, including:

Once you’ve chosen the topic of the counseling session, either your Sim or their partner will make a comment about the state of the relationship, offeringhelpful insight into your partner’s happiness and take on the relationship, which your Sim may not know up front.

If you don’t have that Sim in your household, you won’t know yourself what’s wrong, either - counseling is a great way to get some insight into why a relationship you’d really like for your Sim just isn’t working out for them.

After the problem is out in the open, you’ll have a few options for how tohandle the situation among yourselvesfrom the structured safety of the counselor’s office. You’ll be able to talk things out most of the time, but it never hurts to have an objective party from outside the relationship who analyzes these things for a living.

Along the way, the Cupid’s Counseling professional drops insightful hints on how they think your relationship is progressing, clued in by your responses as your Sim and the other Sim in the relationship. They’ll tell you if they think you guys have something worth saving, even if they may not always say it outright.
