Fortnite’smany modes allow players to test their mettle against some of the toughest opponents in a third-person battle royale. Between melee weapons and ranged ones, there are a few that stand the test of time and become incredibly powerful tools in battle.
One such weapon is the Mammoth Pistol, a one-shot pistol that has been re-introduced to the battle royale. Found as a random drop, this weaponcan deal up to 99 damagewith its Legendary variant. Using it can be a bit tricky, but once you master it, there’s simply no going back. Whether you use it at medium or long range is up to you.
Where To Find The Mammoth Pistol
The Mammoth Pistol can be foundas a random drop anywhereon the island. This gun isonly available in Fortnite Reload, so verify that’s the mode you’re playing.
Simply land at any spot and open a chest. You’ll likely find the Mammoth Pistol there. The most common is its gray and green versions, but you canfind its Legendary variant in Supply Drops or Mythic Cheststoo.
How To Use The Mammoth Pistol
With a big reload time, the Mammoth Pistol can be a little tricky to use. You only get one shot before each reload, so make it count.
At long range,stand still until the crosshair is small. This ensures that your shot is accurate. You can even crouch to do this quicker. At medium range, you canperform a slide-kickto confuse your enemies, and then fire the weapon as and when you like it.
You can hip-fire the weapon without worrying about aiming, and it’ll still do a lot of damage. This is good for situations where you don’t have time to stop and aim.
