AsGenshin Impactgets more updates, it’s quite common to see various world bosses being added to different parts of the map. These bosses usually contain the materials required for ascending the most recent character, which is also true in the case of the two bosses added during the Version 5.0 update.
One of these bosses is the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King, and you’ll need him to upgrade your Kachina since you get her for freeduring the main story. However, you’ll need a bit of strategy if you want to beat this tanky boss.
Where To Find Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King
To find the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King, you’ll first have to make your journey over to Natlan, the sixth main region in Genshin Impact. Thisarea can be found to the west of the Sumeru Desert, and the first statue you’ll get in this area will reveal the Tequemecan Valley region, which is also the region where you’ll find this boss.

How To Defeat Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King
The Gluttonous Yumkasaur boss is quite slow, which makes it easy to dodge most of its attacks. After a few attacks, this boss will spawn someFlamegranates on the ground and you can use these against it. A couple of seconds after these Flamegranates are spawned, the boss will start eating them up.
If it successfully eats a ripe Flamegranate,it’ll shoot a Pyro fireball or laser toward you. On the other hand, if you can successfully apply Pyro to all three of these before it eats them, you’ll deal some damage to the boss and it’ll get immobilized for a few seconds. This will give you the perfect chance to set your attacks up.
Keep in mind that the Pyro laser attack leaves a burning field on the ground, andyour characters will take damage if they run into it.
This boss can be quite tanky, and it’s highly recommended touse a Pyro DPSto do the most damage to itwhile also countering the main mechanic. You can also use Kazuha to Swirl Pyro and create an AoE field that can easily hit all the Flamegranates.
