In this game, side quests can be obtained in two primary ways. Typically, you’ll find a quest giver in a hub area or settlement who will ask for your assistance. Alternatively, you may need to reach a specific location to trigger a quest, which can be more challenging to uncover due to the vastness of the map.

How To Start A Family Legacy Quest
You can pick up theA Family Legacy questafter reaching the Red Sands region, an endgame area accessible after progressing through the main story.
In this region,head to a settlement called Evergreen, located south of Blackfell. Northeast of this settlement,there is a house you need to approach to start the quest.

The coordinates are 4491, -2272.
How To Complete A Family Legacy Quest
As soon as the quest starts, you will find a few blue marks in the house that you need to interact with. The one you really need ison the left,where Mae’s Diary is located in the kitchen. Interacting with this will reveal a document with an important password:U9D.
After that,three alphabet cubes will spawn nearby, and you will need to interact with them to create the U9D code. Here are the steps for each cube:
Rotate both the left and right cubes twiceto get the U9D code, which will spawn a chest.Open the chestand loot it toget the Rosetta Researcher’s Map.
This map will point you to a treasure chest, and you can open the map to get an idea of its location.
Next,go to the Alternative Reality Research Institute, located in the very southeast of the region. Head to the building south of the Institute and take the stairs all the way to thefourth floor, where you will find a research lab room.
In the far right corner of the research lab, you will finda chest named Rosetta Safe. Looting it will complete the quest successfully.
