In the world ofTravellers Rest, you’ll be running your own tavern, and serving all sorts of beers, ales, teas, and pretty much anything else people will drink. Early on though, the beer serving won’t be that common, since you won’t have any upgrades or many ways to age multiple types at once.
If you don’t have beer or ale, you’ll have to serve some kind of drink to your customers, and the easiest thing to give them is good, old-fashioned water. If you aren’t sure how to serve it, or need a quick fix because you’re waiting for ale to age, then serve them up some water.

Travellers Rest is currently in Early Access- as a result, the details below may change over the course of development.
How To Obtain Water
If you want some water to serve, you’re first going toneed an Empty Bucket, either theone you’re givenduring the tutorial or bycrafting another at the Workbenchwith five Wooden Planks, five Iron Nails, and one Iron Bar.
It’s a good idea tokeep at least two Empty Bucks on youat once, so you can have plenty of extra water on hand for the keg and if you need some water for another recipe.

From there, head to thewell outside your tavernand stand in front of it while you’vegot at least one empty bucketin your inventory, thenpress the Interact keyto collect the water andfill up the bucket.
Each collection will give youone whole bucket of water, which is theequivalent of 30 servingsfor the keg, or if you’re using it for a recipe, it’ll generally be enough for one serving group.
How To Serve Water
Once you’ve got the Bucket of Water, head to thelarge keg behind the bar, and open the tap. Eitherdrag or right-click the Bucket of Waterinto it, and the tap’s now going to befilled with the 30 servings of water.
Water canonly be put into the large keg’s tap, and it cannot be put into the beer taps along the bar top itself.
Customers willbegin to order Wateras their beverage, as well as anything else, if you’ve got it, and itworks just like the tapson the bar top:approach the kegandhold Interact to pour the water.
You canhold up to six glassesat once before you’re maxed out, and you may eitherserve them to customers at the counter or at the tablewhile holding them with theInteract key.
If yourun out of a drinkand need to replace it with water, your customers willautomatically swap to the new beverageand stop requesting what’s out of stock.
