What Is March Of The Goblins?
March of the Goblins is an event for Diablo 4 that runs from August 27 to September 3.Treasure Goblins have taken Sanctuary by storm and can be found in virtually every activity, especially open world activities like Helltide.Slain Treasure Goblins will also drop treasure bags,a consumable that awards you with random Legendary gear.These items can drop with Greater Affixes, although the chance is rather low.
Treasure bags always drop ilvl 925 loot, making them a great source of leveling gear for alternate characters.
Treasure Goblins are significantly more common during this event. You can find them in:
Greed Shrinesare augmented to also spawn Treasure Goblins while the shrine buff is active. A high kill rate allows you to spawn 3-5 Treasure Goblins in one shrine. You can attempt to farm for Greed Shrines through “Extra Shrine” affixes on Nightmare Dungeons.
Avariceis a world boss that occasionally spawns in Sanctuary. During March of the Goblins,Avarice will spawn two Treasure Goblins whenever it’s stunned.Killing the boss will also spawn a small army of Treasure Goblins, making this the best source of treasure bags if the boss is currently active.
Open world contentis where you’ll notice the drastically increased Treasure Goblin spawns. Exploring Sanctuary will usually reveal a couple of Treasure Goblins. This also applies to open world events like Helltide and Legion Events. Bear in mind that Treasure Goblin spawns arenotinstanced, so you’re competing with other players if you’re farming Treasure Goblins within a Helltide.
Best Treasure Goblin Farm
For most players, we recommendroaming the open world on horseback and searching for Treasure Goblins.A couple usually spawn in every zone, and a horse should make it easy to find them. There aren’t any specific places you need to explore; any zone works. You can attempt to farm them in Helltide as well, although be aware that other players in the Helltide will likely be farming for Treasure Goblins as well.
If you have a strong build and don’t mind burning through Sigil Powder, you can alsofarm Greed Shrines in Nightmare Dungeons.You want to craft T46+ Nightmare Dungeons with the “Extra Shrine” affix. This gives you a high chance of finding a Greed Shrine inside the dungeon. Activate the shrine and go on a killing spree. The more enemies you slay, the more Treasure Goblins will spawn. It’s not as consistent as farming open world content, but you’ll be leveling Glyphs in the process.
