Are you ready for another daring dash through Discovery Derby this weekend inMonopoly Go? Scopely’s hit mobile game is bringing the Discovery Derby event back only days after our last go with it, but with another day left in the Dino Treasures event, who could resist a few more pickaxes?
Running from2PM EST on August 11until4PM EST on August 12, the second Discovery Derby in Monopoly Go times out just as Dino Treasures does, so if you’re trying to bring this prehistoric party to a close smoothly, finishing Discovery Derby is the way to do it.
How To Play Discovery Derby
If Discovery Derby feels familiar in Monopoly Go, it’s because we last played it only a couple days ago, toward the start of the longer-term Dino Treasures event. We’ll take as many free prizes as Scopely wants to give, but if you played Discovery Derby last week, then you’re no stranger to the point breakdown for the tournament in the table below.

Be sure to tactfully usehigher dice roll multiplierswhen you think you’ve got a chance to hit the bank - your score for the Shutdown or Bank Heist will be multiplied by that number before being applied to the Discovery Derby point tally.
Since so much of the focus here is on finishing the DIno Treasures event with as many pickaxes as possible to finish helping Sofia trawl through the desert looking for fossils, you won’t be surprised to learn that a good number of the milestone prizes in Discovery Derby arepickaxes for Dino Treasures. If you haven’t finished the event yet, Discovery Derby offers some of your last chances to collect pickaxes before the event times out.
Other than that, though, we don’t have a ton of wild prizes happening today. Thetop threeplayers on each leaderboard of 50 will receive ablue sticker packin addition totheir cash payoutsand generousextra dice rolls, but sticker packs in general only go to the top ten at the end of the tournament. With theMonopoly Games albumsfinishing sooner than later, we’d all like as many sticker packs as possible!
