With so many dungeons inDungeons Of Hinterberg, it’s easy to get lost and explore every nook and cranny without realizing how much time has passed. Most dungeons hold a plethora of puzzles to solve with a few monsters mixed in, but some dungeons are specifically the lair of powerful bosses. One such dungeon is the Tatzelwurm’s Lair.

These bosses are not like your typical monster. You’ll need to use a specific strategy to defeat them so you can clear the dungeon, collect your stamp, and leave. Here’s everything you need to know to defeat Tatzelwurm and emerge from the dungeon victorious!

How To Unlock Tatzelwurm’s Lair

To reach this level five dungeon, you’ll need tomake your way to the summitin Doberkogel. Follow the signs that lead you tothe Giant Cavernand the Summit as you explore Doberkogel, andkeep making your way higheralong the cliffs.

Rather than run through the brambles that lead to the Giant Cavern dungeon,head towards the warning signs about the monsters. Fight them off, thenhead up the stairsand scale the side of the mountain.

Once you reach the top, you’llunlock a new fast travel point. This makes it easier to come back later if you aren’t able to enter the dungeon right away.

To unlock Tatzelwurm’s Lair, youmust have completed four other dungeonsin Doberkogel. This can include the following dungeons:

Once this requirement is met, you canenter the dungeon.

How To Solve Tatzelwurm’s Lair Puzzles

The dungeon is thankfully straightforward. As you work your way through the tunnels,Tatzelwurm will dart across the screenand wreak havoc.Use your Wrecking Ball to break through debrisand reach the bottom of the dungeon.

You’ll know you’re on the right track when youfind a tunnel littered with restorative goo. Take a moment to collect yourself, as the largeopen area ahead is the boss room.

Tatzelwurm Boss Fight Strategy

Tatzelwurm isn’t like any monster you’ve fought before in Doberkogel.Tatzelwurm has impenetrable armor– or at least it did before a rock takes achunk out of its head.

This is important to keep in mind! Tatzelwurm can’t be damaged by normal means. When it opens its mouth to attack,use your Ball and Chain to drag it down. Then,use your Wrecking Ballon its head. The explosion willdeal a lot of damage.

You’ll need to do this about three times to reach the next stage.

The second stage gets a bit messier. Now thatTatzelwurm’s armor is broken, it can be weakened with normal attacks. However, Tatzelwurm willattack more frequentlyand more viciously.

Keep your distance and get ready to bring it down again. This is the most effective way to deal damage, but if you’re having trouble, you canuse your Attack Conduitsto help.

Don’t let up, though take a moment to heal if your health gets low.Monsters will continue to spawnduring the first stage so you’re able to recover your magic, but the second stage is moredifficult without potions. Get in close anduse heavy attacks on the Tatzelwurmto recover magic quickly.

Once the Tatzelwurm is defeated, head into the back of the cavern tocollect your loot. Then, get your stamp exit through the portal.
