Black Myth: Wukongis a little different from most other soulslikes in that it absolutely bombards you with all kinds of abilities, skills, and transformations to help you gradually get stronger. One way to make yourself powerful is to craft certain medicines to give you an edge in battle, but Black Myth: Wukong doesn’t do a great job telling you how to.

In particular, Celestial Medicines are a very important part of Black Myth: Wukong, and crafting them allows you to pick certain stats, such as your maximum health or stamina, and improve them pretty dramatically over the course of the entire game. You’re first made aware of Celestial Medicines when you grab your first Mind Core, but you don’t actually unlock the ability to craft them until much later.

Where To Craft Celestial Medicines

First off, you’re going tomake sure you’re pretty deep into Chapter 2. That’s right, you pick up several Mind Cores throughout Chapter 1, but you only unlock the ability to craft them in the next chapter. Once you’ve had a good explore around Yellow Wind Ridge - the location that Chapter 2 takes place in - you’ll want totravel to the Village Entrance Shrine.

From there, you should see a small, worn out wooden bridge. Jump underneath and take the path to the right and enter the small cave. Head down the slope, and you should seea distressed-looking fox person pacing around a big stone. Talking to him reveals thata frog stole his formula, and he wants you to get it back. It just so happens that this sneaky frog issitting in the big chasm to the right of the rock.

Return to our fox friend after beating the frog, and he’llgive you the ability to craft mortal medicines, then scurry off to find a furnace. Where To Find Sterness Of Stone And Keenness Of Tiger Items

To get these items, you’ll need to beat two more bosses that can be found in Yellow Wind Ridge, the first of which is the Stone Vanguard. This boss can be found quite deep in the area, andits arena is located just to the left of the Rockrest Flat Shrine. Head there, look to the left of the shrine, and you should see a large gate. Pass through it, take down the Stone Vanguard, andyou’ll be given the Sterness of Stone for your efforts.

Next, you’ll need to take down the Tiger Vanguard, who can be found in Crouching Tiger Temple. If you’ve yet to find this location, you can get there by traveling to the Valley of Despair Shrine and making your way through the relatively linear cave system nearby. Head up the stairs of Crouching Tiger Temple, take down the Tiger Vanguard, andyou’ll acquire the Keenness of Tiger item.

You can defeat the Tiger Vanguard and Stone Vanguard in any order, butgoing for the Stone Vanguard firstreduces the amount of backtracking you need to do.

With both items in hand, head to the foot of the broken statue in the Tiger Vanguard’s arenaand interact with the pedestal. You’ll open up a new area which you can head through, which is also a one-way path, so there’s no fear of getting lost. You’ll eventually slide down a slope and find a shrine. To the right of this shrine is a big clearing, and our fox friend hiding inside a nearby pot.

How To Craft Celestial Medicines

Once you meet your fox friend again, talking to him will allow you to craft Celestial Medicine, provided you have enoughMind Cores. These items areusually dropped by strong enemies, though talking to the fox will net you one for free as thanks for saving his life.

With each Celestial Medicine, you can increase your stamina, health, mana, and status resistance a decent amount, thougheach stat requires a different number of Mind Coresdepending on its importance. Every time you get some Mind Cores, it’s worth traveling back to Yellow Wind Ridge to get yourself an upgrade or two, especially given how tough some bosses can be. Every little helps, as they say.
