Amidst the numerous boss battles inBlack Myth: Wukong, the various regions you explore are brimming with ingredients to gather, chests to find, secret areas to uncover, and, of course, numerous characters to interact with and complete their quests, if you choose to do so.
These quests are usually rewarding, offering new spells or transformations that will aid you on your journey or in defeating bosses. However, they can sometimes be tricky to follow, as characters may provide vague clues that aren’t immediately clear. The Treasure Hunter quest is one of many you may encounter in the game, and it can be easily missed.
How To Start The Treasure Hunter Quest
The Treasure Hunter questcan be triggeredmidway through Chapter Three, specifically after the Turtle event.
From theBitter Lake - North Shore of the Bitter Lake Keeper’s Shrine, headwest along the coastto the area where you initially found Chen Loong.
Here, you’ll discovera torii gate leading to a temple. Proceed inside andyou’ll hear a character calling for helpas a couple of enemies are attacking him.
Defeat these enemies, thenspeak to the character to start his quest.
How To Complete The Treasure Hunter Quest
Following your first encounter with the Treasure Hunter, continue through the area until youreach the Valley of Ecstasy - Forest of Felicity Keeper’s Shrine.From this shrine, follow the path through the gate and you’llfind another torii gate ahead.
Instead of going through it,take the path down to the left side of the gateand continue until youreach another Keeper’s Shrine called Towers of Karma.
Make sure you have the Ring of Fire spell equipped, as you’ll need it here.
Near this shrine, you’ll hear the Treasure Hunter calling out for fire.Cast the Ring of Fire near him to warm him up. While he’s inside the ring,interact with him and exhaust his dialoguebefore moving on to the final location.
After that,return to the Forest of Felicity Keeper’s Shrine,and this time around, you need tofollow the path down to the right side of the torii gate. Continue down until youreach a river.
At the end of the river, there’sa secret path formed by rocks leading down. Descend from one rock to another to reach a hidden location.
Be prepared for a boss fight ahead so make sure to interact with the shrine at the bottom and make sure you’re ready before progressing.
Inside the cave,you’ll face the Treasure Hunter, who turns out to be a deceiver.Defeat the so-called Green-Capped Martialistto conclude the quest and receive the powerfulSpell Binderspell as your reward.
