Star Wars Outlawspresents many opportunities for Kay, allowing her to travel to different systems and visit unique planets. However, before she can do that, she must first obtain a hyperdrive, which comes later in her journey. But, until then, she can explore Toshara’s orbit and get into a whole mess of trouble doing so.
That’s precisely what happens in the False Flag main quest, leading to many unique encounters and intense moments that perfectly showcase the constant rollercoaster that is Kay’s journey. Nonetheless, this quest is only the tip of the iceberg regarding her overall adventure and goals.
False Flag Quest Walkthrough: Retrieve Cargo
When you begin theFalse Flagmain quest in Star Wars Outlaws, you musthead to the Toshara Orbitby making your way to theTrailblazer’s cockpitand selecting the ‘Take Off’ option.
Upon reaching the orbit of Toshara, you will then be tasked with heading to theWreck Clusterandgathering cargo.Follow the waypoint until you reach the Wreck Clusterand scan the area for the cargo boxes.
Gathering The Cargo
As youapproach the cargo crates, shoot them openwith the Trailblazer’s lasers, thenpress Y/Triangle to gather the contentsthat popped out. However, as you begin collecting the materials,Pirates will suddenly ambush you.
Eliminate the Pirates and regather the cargo.With the precious cargo in your possession, it’s time tohead to the Imperial Fuel Station,where things get a bit hairy.
Follow the waypointtoward the Imperial Fuel Stationuntil TIE Escorts pull upon you, thenfollow them into the Imperial Fuel Station.Here,Waka will distract the guards,allowing you tosneak out of the Trailblazer and into the station,where you will then betasked with finding the Data Vault.
False Flag Quest Walkthrough: Find The Data Vault
After exiting the Trailblazer, you will be in the Imperial Fuel Station, surrounded by guards and Stormtroopers who are going about their business.Sneak around the left side of the crates in front of you and stealthily take the guard downhere.
From here, you willsee a sled with large crates on top and a control panelnear the rear.Sneak up to the control panel and activate the sled,causing it to move forward slowly.Stand on the right side of the sled and slowly walk alongside itto avoid being detected by the guards.
Find A Terminal With Info On The Data Vault
When the sled stops moving,look to the right to find a vent and take itinto the next room. Once you get here, therewill be a lift. Take it to the upper areasof the Fuel Station, but be mindful of the guards on this floor.
There will bethree guards totalhere, buttwo of them will leave the flooryou’re on, leaving only the Stormtrooper present.Wait for them to leave, perform a takedown on the lone Stormtrooper,and enter the room behind him.
In this room, there will betwo more guards.Stun the one on the far leftwith your Blaster, thenquickly take down the other one directly in frontof you.Access the computerto get more information on the Data Vault.
False Flag Quest Walkthrough: Reach The Data Vault
After pinpointing the location of the Data Vault,use the exit in the room with the computer, thentake the ladder up to an elevated areaof the Fuel Station. Once here, you will have touse your Data Spike to pick the lockof a door.
Once the door is opened,sneak inside to find two Stormtroopersstanding guard.One will walk near you,wait for them to get beside you,swiftly take them down quietly,thenstun the otherwith your Blaster.
Progressing Deeper In The Fuel Station
With the two guards taken care of,sneak underneath the turret, into the room beneath it,andclimb through the vent.You will be in a dark red room that has large moving objects on a conveyor belt.Follow behind the objects until you find an energy barrierto the right.
Jump onto the platformwith the energy barrier anduse your Data Spike to turn it off,thenhead into the next areato arrive on the top of a walkway with several guards beneath you.
Getting Closer To The Data Vault
Follow the pathway out anddrop down into the area beneath you.There will be agroup of guards walking awayfrom you.Quickly move to the door on your left and use your Data Spike to pick the lock,then enter the room.
There will be aStormtrooper and a standard guard in this room,positioned well apart from one another. Simplysneak behind them and perform a takedown,thenclimb the ladderinto the next area.
Upon climbing the ladder, you will see anenergy barrierimpeding your progress.Command Nix to turn the power off to the energy barrier,thenmove into the room quietly, taking the guard downat the computer. From here,access the computer,then move on to the next area.
Final Stretch To The Data Vault
After accessing the computer,head out of the room and onto the walkway,thendrop off the side and into the room directly in frontof it. Follow this roominto the elevator,thentake out the guard in the roomit leads to.
From here,take the vent to the left and follow it out to where two Stormtroopersare.Stun the one in front of the doorwith your Blaster, thenstealthily take down the one in front of the crates.Lookto the leftof where this guard was to seea series of blocks you can climb and follow them up.
Onceon top of the scaffolding, there will be another Stormtrooper across from you.Use your Blaster tostun them,and thenuse your grappling hook to get across the gap.Then, make your way to the door anduse your Data Spike to open it,finally giving you access to the Data Vault. You did it!
False Flag Quest Walkthrough: Meeting Bosnok
Now that you’refinally in the Data Vault,you canSabotage the Debt Records,which will trigger a cutscene,introducing you to Bosnok,an… interesting character. Here, you will bepresented with an optiontoframe the Crimson Dawn or the Pyke Syndicate.
You willgain Negative Reputation for the Faction you decide to frame,but willreceive Positive Reputation for the Faction you side with,so choose wisely. Thebump in Reputation will be quite substantial in either direction,so ensure you make a choice you’re comfortable with.
Freeing Bosnok
After making your choice, you willlower Bosnok onto a sled and will have to make your way over to him.To do this,exit the Data Vaultand takedown the Stormtrooperoutside the door.
From here,sneak to the right, wrap around the front of the room you were just in, and drop downfrom the platform. This will give you astraight shot to Bosnok.Once you make it to him,activate his sled and follow itforward!
False Flag Quest Walkthrough: Escort Bosnok
Follow Bosnok’s sled until it gets blockedby an energy barrier, thenhead into the room just to the rightof the sled. Once inside,access the computer to lower the energy barrier,thenexit via the opposite sidefrom which you entered. From here,head to the left of Bosnok’s sled, then follow it past the guardsand into the next area.
Continue Escorting Bosnok
Once here,Bosnok’s sled will get stuck again,having youenter another room,this time with alone guardinside.Take them downquietly, thenaccess the computertoaccidentally lower Bosnokinto the area below. Use yourgrappling hook to rappel down into the room beneath you,thentake the ventto find Bosnok.
Guards will begin surrounding Bosnok,and you will haveno option but to go loudhere. So, pull your Blaster out and start picking them off.More guards will flood out from the doors, eliminate them quickly before they can sound the alarmon the wall.
After dispatching the guards,follow the path forward tofind a generator on the wall to the far left, across from the enormous chasmin the room.Destroy the generator, then take the ventinto the next area. There will be aStormtrooperstanding outside of a door.Stun him with your Blaster,then enter the room.
There will bethree guardsin this room.Send Nix after the guard directly in frontof you anduse your Blaster to stun the Stormtrooper on the far endof the room, thenfinish off the guard Nix is attacking.From here, justsneak behind the other guard near the front of the roomand take them down. Then,access the computerto continue the quest.
Reach The Trailblazer
From here, you will need toquickly make it to the Trailblazerto get off the Imperial Fuel Station,follow the pathway forward,and use yourData Spike to open the main doorsleading to your ship.
Once the doors are open,get ready to fight, as there will be many Stormtroopers and guardshere.Begin popping them off while waiting for Bosnok’s sledto approach the ship. There will bewaves upon waves of enemies;just take cover and pop up occasionally to pick them off.
As soon as Bosnok’s sled is near,therear ramp of the Trailblazer will lower,run up it to trigger a cutscene,having you flee the Imperial Fuel Station!
False Flag Quest Walkthrough: Escape The Station
After escaping the Imperial Fuel Station, you will bepursued by the Starfighters.Head toward theDebris Fieldto lose most of them, thenpick off the remaining ones.
From here,fly over to the Imperial Commsandhold Y/Trianglenear it toclear your Wanted Status,getting the Imperials off your trail for good. With the Imperials gone,fly back to Mirogana and speak with Gorakto conclude the mission!
