The Land of Shadow inElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLCis full of intriguing places to explore making you spend hours in the game. Some of these areas hide unexpected secrets that are quite easy to miss out on if you’re not exploring every corner of these locations.

The Temple Town Ruins are one of those locations that you have to explore a little more thoroughly to uncover all of its secrets. The items that you find here might just be what you need to enhance your build and make your playthrough more fun.

How To Get To The Temple Town Ruins

The Temple Town Ruins is located atRauh Base, right under the Ancient Rauh Ruins. It can be accessed rightafter defeating Rellana. To reach this location, you’ll have togo to the Moorth Ruins in Scadu Altusfirst. From there, head northeast towards the lake with ghost worms and you’ll find a tunnel there.

As you go out of the tunnel,you’ll come across apoison swamp, go through it until you reach the Rauh Base area.

Be sure to traverse the area on Torrent, as you won’t be affected by the poison that way.

From there, you have to keep going straight untilyou find two Golems guarding a route. Defeat them and keep following the path until you reach the Temple Town Ruins.

Right before the Temple Town Ruins, you’ll also find the map fragment of the entire Rauh region.

To reach The Temple Town Ruins Site of Grace, you’ll have to walk through the river a little.You’ll find the Site of Grace to your leftif you keep heading that way.

The Tarnished has acquired the Two-Headed Turtle Talisman.

Temple Town Ruins Walkthrough

Before you head into the Temple Town Ruins, you should head towards the south of the ruin tograb the Revered Spirit Fragment at the headless statue. After you’ve done that,head to the large structureat the centre of the ruins.

There are walls all around the structure, but you’ll finda small opening towards the southern side of the wall. Head inside and go straight up the stairs. Right as you drop down ahead, you’ll find an elevated ledge right behind you with an undead with a pot on top of its head.

Jump on the ledge and walk straight untilyou find a Scadutree Fragment on a corpse. Once you’ve picked up the item, head back to where you dropped down earlier and walk straight ahead.

Two-Handed Sword Talisman

You’ll findaHorned Warrior wielding a greatswordhere. Defeat it and head upstairs to the left, and you’ll find a treasure chest with theTwo-Handed Sword Talismaninside.

Don’t fret too much about dying while fighting the Horned Warrior here as there’s a Statue of Marika near you and you’ll be able to fight it again.

The Two-Handed Sword Talisman boosts attacks of anyweapon wielded with two hands by 15 percent. Note that the damage boost does not apply to any paired weapons where you wield one weapon in each hand, such as theBackhand Blade.

This Talisman can be extremely effective for Strength builds that make use of wielding a colossal weapon with two hands.

Divine Bird Warrior Ornis

To get the Spirit Ashes of theDivine Bird Warrior Ornis, go to theTemple Town Ruins Site of Grace. After you’ve rested at the grace, go towards the north where you’ll find three red pests. Be wary as these pests will shoot their threads.

After defeating the rot pests, head to your right, andyou’ll find a Spiritspringhere. Jump on the Spiritspring with Torrent, and you’ll land on a building in Temple Town Ruins.

There would be a chest in the middle of the building, containing crafting material. Move around the ledge of the building, and you’ll be able to jump to another cliff. Move ahead till you find asanctuary-like structure with a chest inside. The Spirit Ashes is found inside the chest.

Two-Headed Turtle Talisman

From the south of Temple Town Ruins, you candrop down on a series of ledgesto get to the bottom of the lake. There, you’ll find a short opening right under the waterfall.

TheTwo-Headed Turtle Talismanwill be there in the centre of the cave on a corpse, guarded bythree angry ghost worms, which will immediately start to attack you as you walk into the cave.

The Two-Headed Turtle Talisman is a powered-up version of the regularGreen Turtle Talismanandenhances Stamina regeneration speed. Stamina recovery matters a lot during boss fights because you don’t want to deplete your entire Stamina bar trying to attack or while rolling away from attacks, which is why this Talisman is ideal for any build you choose.

After you’ve grabbed the item, you can choose to further explore the lake bygoing south, which will eventually lead you to theEllac River area.
