Miyoko Pass is your first proper stage after the introduction ofKunitsu-Gami: Path of The Goddess, so it’s very straightforward and efficient in showcasing the core mechanics for regular stages. You’ll learn how to purify areas, recruit allies, and the basics of battle to start you on your long journey down the mountain.

You might end up having some trouble figuring out what you specifically can purify and what is simply part of the environment, but the key point is to make sure you look around and use your time wisely so you’re not unprepared for the first wave of enemies.

Bonus challenges

Soh about to purify an area in Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess.

This first stage is designed to get you comfortable with the mechanics and, especially for people who are more familiar with action games, get across the idea thatyou should not simply rely on Soh to hack through all the enemies.

you may’t complete all the bonus challenges on your first playthrough, and in fact, the game won’t tell you about them until you’ve beaten it the first time. Just focus on beating it the first time and learning what to expect, then go onto the bonus challenges.

How To Purify The Village

The first thing you should do once the stage begins is purify the village. After the entrance, there are seven other spots where you can use the Purify command.

While running around, destroy various jars for rations.

Go to the points marked with red Xs and purify all of them. This will release villagers and gain you crystals, which you need to assign the villagers roles.

All the spots you need to purify form a convenient loop so you can get back to Yoshiro:

You’ll end up right next to the shrine where you can get theLeaping Fish Talisman, allowing you to grab it quickly with enough time to assign roles to the villagers.

Before that though, head up to Yoshiro and carve the Spirit Path. She’ll get about halfway to the gate by night fall, depending on how long it takes you to find all the areas.

How To Prepare Your Defenses

As Yoshiro moves along the Spirit Path, assign roles to the four villagers you rescued and place them around the villageto defend Yoshiro.

This map is very straightforward, so place your villagers in the following way:

You want to ensure that lower path is covered as Seethe will use it to try and sneak their way to Yoshiro.

How To Fend Off The Seethe

The Seethe will start attacking once night falls, and you haveto keep Yoshiro alive until daybreak. For your first run through, you’ll want Soh at the mouth of the Torii Gate to kill the Seethe as they come out.

Soh will take damage if you leave them too close to the entrance, and Seethe are invulnerable when they first appear. Make sure you give yourself room to fight.

Your villagers can take on one or two at a time, sodon’t worry about any stragglers who happen to get awayor if one continues along the bottom path.
