Black Myth: Wukongmakes it clear in the first few hours that you can expect to encounter a variety of bosses, each unique in design and combat techniques. However, this game is not just about boss rushes; between encounters, you’ll have the opportunity to explore different regions as you progress.
During your exploration, you’ll find numerous chests that may grant you new crafting materials or other rewards. Additionally, you might come across characters who will ask for your help with their quests, offering rewards upon completion.
How To Begin The Man-In-Stone Quest
The Man-in-Stone questbegins after you reach Chapter Two, where you must locate the Man-in-Stone to assist him. The first step would be to find him of course.
Starting from theFright Cliff - Squall Hideout Keeper’s Shrine,head right and then move north. This will lead you toa narrow crevice path that ends in a dead end.
At the end, you’ll finda character who appears to be stuck.Interact with him, and he’ll ask you to help finda rock guai in the nearby cave.
How To Complete The Man-In-Stone Quest
Head back to the Fright Cliff - Squall Hideout Keeper’s Shrine and this timetake the left path that leads inside the cave.
Follow the path north to enter the cave.Go right, then take the next left toascend the path, followingthe route lit with fireuntil you spota large rock with three blue crystals.
Approach the blue crystals andattack them to trigger the boss fight against the Mother of Stones.
This boss fight is different; it doesn’t attack you directly but spawns multiple enemies.Your goal is to defeat all of them, after which you’re able to hit the boss to reduce its HP and defeat it.
After defeating the Mother of Stones,it will drop a key item calledStone Essence. With this key item,head back to the Man-in-Stone location and interact with him.
This will free him, but he tricked you into this, so feel free toattack the Man-in-Stone without guilt.
You’ll notice you can lock onto him, buthe will not attack you until you do.
This will trigger a boss fight against him. He’s not tough and his HP is low, so defeating him is easy. After the fight,interact with him again to receive a new transformation calledAzure Dust. This will complete the quest.
If you return to the nearest Keeper’s Shrine andrest,then go backto the Man-in-Stone location,he will become a merchant with valuable items for sale.
