Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has introduced many new and unique NPCs, but keeping track of them and following their questlines can be tricky as the game never guides you much. If you don’t know what you’re doing, a tiny mistake can ruin all your progress in an NPC’s quest and might lock you out of promising rewards.

Igon, the Drake Warrior, is easily one of the most memorable characters in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion due to his unquenchable thirst for revenge and hate for a specific dragon.

Tarnished is getting invaded by the Ancient Dragon-Man.

How To Find Igon The Drake Warrior

Igon becomes accessible right after entering the Land of Shadow. Make your way to theCastle Front Site of Grace, which is right outside Castle Ensis’ entrance. From there, follow the pathtoward the southeast, and you’ll eventually come across thePillar Path WaypointSite of Grace.

As soon you approach the Site of Grace, you’ll hearIgon scream in painnearby. Talking to him will initiate his quest. Igon will move to a different location as you progress through his quest.

The Tarnished reads the message in Dragon’s Pit.

Move forward from where you find Igor, and as you progress, you will beinvaded by the Ancient Dragon-Man. The fight against him is easy as you’re able to repeatedlyinterrupt him by using a two-handed weapon, since he is very vulnerable and is wearing next to no armor.

Make sure you watch out for his Dragon Breath attacks. Kill him, then continue moving forward, and you’llreach Dragon’s Pit. You’ll come across many undead dragon warriors here, so be prepared to take them on.

The Tarnished has obtained the Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana.

There’s also aMagma Wyrmin this dungeon, but beating it is completely optional and will reward you with aDragon Heart and an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone. As you progress through the Dragon’s Pit, you’ll come across a dead-end in front of what appears to be a large bowl of blood.

Right before the bowl, you’ll find a message that reads,“Be Brave. Show No Fear.”Walk straight off the ledge ahead, and you’ll fall into a pit where you’ll fight against the Ancient Dragon-Man again.

The Tarnished is approaching the Jagged Peak Drake.

The rematch against the Ancient Dragon-Man can be slightly more challenging compared to the prior fight, as he might use amove infused with Dragonwoundthat deals damage to you even while he is a littler far away. However, you can also repeatedly interrupt him here with a two-handed weapon.

Once you’ve defeated him, you can rest at theDragon’s Pit Terminus Site of Grace, which is outside the boss arena, and head to the Foot of the Jagged Peak.

The Tarnished is standing next to the Dragon Communion Priestess at the Grand Altar Of Dragon Communion.

Traverse The Foot Of The Jagged Peak

As you enter this area, you’ll see theJagged Peak Drakesitting right ahead of you. Head down the hill and fight it. The Jagged Peak Drake is like any other dragon you’ve faced so far, except it deals fire and lightning damage. Once you’ve defeated the Jagged Peak Drake, you will have to head south from there to reach theGrand Altar of Dragon Communion.

At the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion, you will find theDragon Communion Priestess. Talking to her and agreeing to“Devour draconic essence”will progress the quest further. The Dragon Communion Priestess also has her own quest that progresses alongside Igon’s quest, and the choices you make will have an effect on your final rewards after you’ve defeatedBayle the Dread.

Igon gives the Tarnished his Furled Finger.

you may head south from here to reach Charo’s Hidden Grave and further south to grab the region’s map from the Cerulean Coast Area.

The Twin Jagged Peak Drakes

Now that you’ve talked with the Dragon Communion Priestess, travel back to theDragon’s Pit Terminus Site of Grace, and head to the area where you first fought the Jagged Peak Drake. From the boss arena, head east toreach a Spiritspring. Jumping on Torrent at this Spiritspring will land you in front of a large wooden bridge leading to the Twin Jagged Peak Drakes.

As you enter the arena, you’ll findtwo Jagged Peak Drakesfighting each other. Both of these dragons are similar to the one you fought earlier at the Foot of the Jagged Peak. They are engaged in their battle, which can give you a lot of time to heal during the fight.

The Tarnished is facing off against the Ancient Dragon Senessax.

You can also just wait around as their clash continues, and let one of the dragons kill the other one, then move in to kill the surviving dragon. Once you’ve killed both of the dragons, you will hearIgon praising you from the east of the boss arena.

Igon will give you his Furled Fingerand ask you to scale the Jagged Peak and summon him during your fight with Balye the Dread. If you haven’t talked to Igon after defeating the Twin Jagged Peak Drakes, you won’t be able to summon him in your fight against Bayle. You don’t want to miss out on his epic ranting against Bayle.

The Rewards that you have obtained after completing Igon’s Quest.

The Ancient Dragon Senessax

After talking with Igon, continue moving forward and progress through the terrain till you reach theAncient Dragon Senessax. Watch out for the Rolling Stones as you make your way to the boss.

Ancient Dragon Senessax isstrong against lightning but is weak to pierce damage. Since the boss has high defense, it is recommended to useScarlet Rot or the Black Blade Incantationto deal consistent damage over time.

Igon’s Bell-Bearings item description is shown.

If you’re using a sorcery build or a ranged weapon, aim for the dragon’s head, as it will deal a lot of damage.

You may also useDragonwound grease or weaponsthat deal more damage to Dragons, such as the Dragon-Hunter’s Great Katana that you will receive after defeating the Ancient Dragon-Man in Dragon’s Pit. Defeating the Ancient Dragon Senessax will reward you with anAncient Dragon Smithing Stone and a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.

Scale The Jagged Peak And Fight Bayle The Dread

Right from the Ancient Dragon Senessax’s boss arena, you will see acave to the norththat leads you up the mountain. The way to Bayle the Dread’s boss arena is fairly tricky, but you just have to move forward, and you will eventually come across aseries of Spiritspringsthat will lead you right to Bayle’s arena.

As you enter the arena for Bayle the Dread’s Bossfight, you will findIgon’s Summon Sign right in front of the entrance, slightly to the left. Note that summoning Igon during your fight with Bayle the Dread as you defeat him is necessary to complete his quest.

The Rewards For Igon’s Quest

After you’ve defeated Bayle the Dread and received the Heart of Bayle, you will have tohead back to the locationwhere youfought the Twin Jagged Peak Drakes.Head to Igon’s location towards the eastof the boss arena, and you’ll find his armor, Greatbow, and Igon’s Bell-Bearings.

You can then head to theGrand Altar of the Dragon Communion to get rewardsfrom theDragon Communion Priestess, depending on your choices in her quest. Furthermore, you can alsoexchange Bayle’s Heartfor one of his two Incantations,Bayle’s Flame Lightning or Bayle’s Tyranny, at the Dragon Communion Altar.

Giving Igon’s Bell-Bearings to the Twin Maiden Husks will provide you access toIgon’s Harpoons, a Greatarrow that deals extra damage to Dragons.

You can get Igon’s Armor, Greatbow, and Bell-Bearings without completing his quest by killing him. However, it isn’t recommended as doing so will lock you out from getting Igon’s Greatbow’s special Ash of War skill, Igon’s Drake Hunt, which will replaced with a generic Greatbow Ash of War.
