HoYoverse Games has introduced new TV gameplay in their new title,Zenless Zone Zero, and it will not be surprising if you get stuck clearing the TV mechanic missions. These missions are rather hard to clear, and one such mission is “Escape From Certain Doom.”
In this mission, you have to rescue three trapped construction workers in the Hollow and lead them to safety. If you are one of them who can’t complete this mission, then this guide is for you. This guide will provide you with in-depth details to complete the “Escape From Certain Doom” mission.
Escape From Certain Doom Walkthrough
The"Escape From Certain Doom" mission is a commission from the main story that is given by Shepherd, a character thatprovides a commission to the proxiesand helps thembuild a reputation on the Inter-Knot networkor proxy network. You will play this mission during the Prologue: Intermission.
To unlock this mission,you have to complete the previous quest, which is “The Proxy and the Hare.” After completing the previous quest, you will geta message from Shephard stating that he could help him rebuild the reputationthat he had as a Phaethon.
Once you meet Shephard in person, he will provide you with the details of the commission. After you have got the commission from the Shepherd,you may proceed to dive into the Hollow Deep Dive (HDD) systemto advance in this mission further. From there, it will ask you tochoose a three-person team. Once done, then you will proceed further torescuing the three trapped construction workers.
How To Rescue The First Trapped Construction Worker
Once you start the mission, you will be able to seefour tiles active on the screenthat is nearby to the Bangboo character. Goone tile right and then one tile upfrom the starting location to the Hollow data scanner. ThisHollow data scanner will assist you in discovering new pathsthat can lead to the completion of this mission.
Once you have clicked on the hollow data scanner,it will scan the nearby areas and unlock a few tilesfor you. You can see the locations of allthree trapped construction workers that you have to rescue. You need to reach all three locations of the trapped workers andlead them to the evacuation point to complete this mission.
To rescue the first trapped construction worker, gotwo tiles rightandone tile up to go a level down. By doing this, you will be able to go to the lower level and observe the base of new tiles.
Upon reaching the lower level, you can seetwo hollowinvestigators. These hollow investigators are there tohelp you discover new pathsfor the completion of the mission.
Go one tileupand then one tileleft to meet one of the hollow investigators,which is situated on the left side of your screen. He will help you give abrief about the new areasthat will discover new tiles toexplore at the same level.
Now a few tiles will be uncovered, including a hollow data scanner. Go totwo tiles left and one tile upto the hollow data scanner to uncover new paths. Once you do, new paths will beuncovered at the ground level, which will lead you to the first trapped construction worker.
To reach the ground level, you need toreach the entry tile. For that, goone tile down, four tiles right, and one tile downto come back to the ground level.
Upon reaching the ground level, you will realize that a fewtiles are uncovered around the Ethereal. This Ethereal is guarding the path to the first trapped construction worker. You need togo to the Ethereals' location and fight them in order to unlock the path to the first trapped construction worker.
Once you have fought the Ethereals,goone tile downto reach the first trapped construction worker. After going to it, you willsuccessfully rescue the first trapped construction worker.
You cannot pause this mission from the HDD System. If you choose to give up, you have to do the mission from the start.
How To Rescue The Second Trapped Construction Worker
Now it’s time to rescue the second trapped construction worker. For that, gotwo tiles up and one tile right to go down to the lower levelto reach to the entry tile.
After reaching the lower level, now you have toapproach the second hollow investigator. Like before, he will again help you uncover new paths in the game. You can approach to him by goingone tile right, three tiles down, one tile right, and one tile down.
Upon reaching it, the hollow investigator willask for a pricefor sharing new paths. Justclick on the negotiate buttonto uncover new paths.
Once negotiated, a few more titles will be uncovered, including an entry tile. Just gotwo tiles right, and one tile down to reach the other lower level.
Now you’re able to see two hollow data scanners upon reaching the other lower level. Gotwo tiles downto reach one of them and uncovernew tiles at the ground levelaround the second Ethereal.
Now you need to go tothree tiles left to reach the ground levelin order to rescue the second trapped construction worker.
Again, as happened with the first trapped construction worker, you have tofight another Etherealin order to reach the second trapped construction worker.
Once you have fought it,go one tile upto reach the second trapped construction worker. After doing this, you have successfullyrescued the second trapped construction worker.

How To Rescue The Third Trapped Construction Worker
To reach the third trapped construction worker, all you need to do isgo three tiles up, one tile right, one tile up and then one tile rightto reach the third trapper construction worker.
Here you can see that the third trapped construction worker is in a coma. Justclick on “Take him to the evacuation point first"to move further.
You don’t have to fight another Ethereal to rescue the third trapped construction worker.
How To Reach The Evacuation Point
to reach the evacuation point, you need to go back to the lower level. To do that,go one tile left, one tile down, one tile left, six tiles down and one tile leftto reach to the entry tile.
You will reach the lower level. From there gothree tiles right, three tiles up, and four tiles left. You will again reach a hollow data scanner that will uncover new paths.
Once the new paths have been uncovered, you can go back to the ground level again. For that, gofour tiles right, three tiles down, and three tiles left toenter the entry tile.
Now all is left to reach the evacuation point. For that,go one tile right, three tiles up, four tiles left, three tiles down and one tile right. Once you do, you will get asuccessful message about the completion of the “Escape From Certain Doom” mission.
