Season 5 ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3continues with a new set of Weekly Challenges. Each week, a new set of challenges is released for Multiplayer, MWZ, and Warzone. Completing these challenges is a great source of XP and your main source of Aftermarket Parts.
Completing five of this week’s challenges will unlock a conversion kit for the BAL-27, morphing it into a five-round burst laser rifle. It’s fairly high-tech for MW3, but it’s a surprisingly solid conversion kit for players who can master prefiring. Let’s dive into how the conversion kit works and give some tips on how to unlock it.
Week 6 Challenge Reward
The BAL-27 turns into a Destiny fusion rifle with theJAK Deathmarch Kit, available upon completing any five of this week’s challenges. While installed, the BAL-27 turns into a burst-fire laser shotgun with a short charge delay of roughly 250ms. Each shot must be charged, so you ideally want to use this like a semi-auto weapon.
If you get used to the strange firing delay, the JAK Deathmarch Kit deals some immense damage up close. Each shot deals 100 damage to the torso, although the gun starts to experience a gradual falloff at 1.5 meters. You’ll need accuracy attachments to land every shot in a burst. It’s decent as a shotgun if you can prefire, but it becomes a viable mid-range dueling weapon once you throw on some recoil attachments.

Get 25 kills with a burst-fire weapon.
Get 15 kills with a recommended assault rifle or battle rifle.

In Fortune’s Keep, open 20 loot caches in the northern region (Gatehouse, Keep, Terraces).
In Fortune’s Keep, open 20 loot caches in the eastern region (Konni Outpost, Lighthouse, Pier, Winery).
Complete 15 contracts in Warzone.
In Fortune’s Keep, open 20 loot caches in the southern region (Ground Zero).
In Fortune’s Keep, open 20 loot caches in the western region (Graveyard, Overlook, Town).
