Season 5: Reloaded inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3has unlocked two new weapons: a compound bow and a spear. The compound bow is unlocked through the Weekly Challenges system, requiring players to finish any five challenges in Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone.
The good news is that most challenges this week are fairly easy. Land kills with explosives, use Field Upgrades, and detonate targets with explosives to unlock this strange new secondary weapon. But before we explain how to complete all of this week’s challenges quickly, let’s first explain how the Torque 35 bow works in Modern Warfare 3.
Week 5 Challenge Reward
Upon completing any five of this week’s challenges, you’ll unlock theTorque 35,a compound bow that counts as a secondary launcher. It is the first compound bow in MW3, and it has a small selection of arrow types you’re able to equip to change the weapon’s behavior. No other attachments are availablethrough the Gunsmith.
The bow itself is a one-hit kill to the torso and up, and it has a fairly large ammo reserve of 18 arrows by default. Arrows can be retrieved unless you’re using certain ammo types. Holding down the fire input will draw an arrow, and letting go will fire it at maximum velocity. Tap-firing will instead fire an arrow with minimal velocity, dealing lackluster damage.
You cannot sprint while an arrow is fully drawn. Arrows can also be uncharged by pressing the reload input.
