Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3has a new batch of aftermarket parts to earn in Season 5. Each week, a set of 21 challenges are released that are evenly split between Multiplayer, MWZ, and Warzone. Complete any five of them, and you’ll unlock a new aftermarket part.
This week brought with it the JAK Cataclysm Kit, converting the MW2 RPK into a .50 Cal LMG. It fires slowly and doesn’t handle particularly well, but this weapon hits like an absolute truck at most ranges. Let’s go over how the kit works, how to unlock it, and give some tips on how to complete these challenges as quickly as possible.
Week 2 Challenge Reward
This week’s conversion kit is theJAK Cataclysm Kit for the RPK, which converts the weapon’s ammo type to .50 Cal. This substantially increases the weapon’s damage and range at the cost of everything else.The gun is a one-hit kill out to 36 meters, making it a solid option for larger maps in objective modes like Domination.
While the JAK Cataclysm Kit is installed, you cannot adjust your barrel, magazine, or ammunition, and you cannot install the Prolite TL3 Stock.Tac stanceis also disabled.
While the gun’s lethality is greatly increased,the gun’s mobility and handling stats take a significant hit.The gun handles more like a sniper rifle than a typical LMG. attempt to build this gun for ADS speed to help offset the penalties.
