Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddessis far from the longest game out there, but it knows its length and how to make every moment worth it. Each mission has its own fun twists on the game’s formula and mechanics, from new enemies to challenging stage hazards.
Adashino Village is no different, introducing the concept of enemies that can buff others but the means for you to cancel those buffs at the same time. Adashino Village is a tighter level than previous ones and it can be easy to get overwhelmed. Our guide will see you safely to the next dawn.

Recommended Set-Up For Soh And The Villagers
Villager Set-Up
In Adashino Village, you will rescue a total of nine Villagers in total. None of them are especially hard to find so you’ll naturally come across them as you gather the defilements in each section.
Once you have all of them gathered up, here are the Roles we would recommend for them. As you won’t get all of them until the second section, prioritise those that you need to survive, like Sumo Wrestlers and Woodcutters, until then.

Keep your Roles levelled upas some of the upgrades can really increase the effectiveness of a unit beyond just stat boosts.
Musubi can always be refundedas well, so feel free to shift around your upgrades if you’re struggling.

Soh Set-Up
At this point in the game,Soh will have already beaten Batsuand unlocked the ability to upgrade themselves. Alongside a healthy collection of Tsuba Guards and Mazo Talismans, you should now be able to makemore specialised builds of Sohfor each mission.
For Adashino Village, we’re going to builda more aggressive Sohthat can hold their own while also giving the Villagers enough power to hold their own.

Tsuba Guard 1
Kochin’s Ward
Creates a barrier around Soh thatstops enemy attacksand damages those that touch it.
Tsuba Guard 2
Toda’s Snare
Allows Soh to place up tothree traps that explodewhen enemies touch them.
Slightly raisesSoh’s attack power

Mazo Talisman 2
Happiness And Anger
Slightly reduces Soh’s attack power while raising the Villagers' in turn.
Makes a sound and flashes on-screen when you arenear defilement.
Soh’s default moveset focused onlower damage but high mobility attacks.
Oka Dance Upgrade
Oka Form 3
Allows the Dance Attack after the second Regular Attack to be charged, dealinghigh Resist Gauge depletion.
Archery Upgrade
Spider Shot
Explodes at the point of impact, slowing all enemiescaught in the blast.
Combat Upgrade
Punishing Strike
Allow Soh to deal a heavy strike thatdeals massive damageto enemies with a depleted Resist Gauge.
This buildgives Soh decent damagewhile still letting the Villagers put up a fight by themselves.
Kochin’s Ward allows Yoshiro to be easily protected, which is especially helpful withhow tight this mission can be. Meanwhile, Toda’s Snare lets you put down powerful traps so you may more easily divide your attention.
Spider Shot is a great help sincemost enemies are huddled quite close together, giving each shot the maximum potency.
One of the optional objectives is tonot dispel the enhancements on any Seethe, so having a strong build is essential for completing that objective.

Tips For Completing Adashino Village
General Tips
As is true of most missions in the game, you’ll want tostart carving the path immediately. Time that Yoshiro is standing still is time wasted, and a higher chance of her being defeated. Even if you can’t complete the Spirit Path, giving hersome amount to walk is better than nothingfor efficiency.
Taiko Drums are introduced in this mission toremove the enhancements cast on Seetheby the new enemy, Rosokuro.Placing a Sumo by the drums will draw them towards them, allowing you to remove these enhancements more easily.
One of the optional objectives is toremove the enhancements from ten Seethe at the same time, so the above strategy is a great help for this one.
Finally, make surethe Carpenter is always working. Just like Yoshiro, you don’t want to waste a moment as the night will fall faster than you might expect. There are some very helpful contraptions to repair too that will help you survive the night.
First Section Tips
From the beginning of the mission all the way to the corrupted Torii gate in the first section,it costs a total of 541 Crystalstocarve the Spirit Path. Keep this in mind so you can plan how much of the Spirit Path you want to carve before assigning Roles.
With a Thief, you can also dig up a chestright by the entrance of the first sectionof this mission for some extra Crystals.
While enemies can come from very few locations in this section, many of them have a habit of splitting along both sides of large open section. ensure torepair the barrier hereand position an Ascetic here with a Woodcutter to slow any enemies' advance.
Second Section Tips
It costs atotal of 464 Crystals to carve the Spirit Pathfrom the beginning of the second section to the corrupted Torii gate. This is less than the first section and you should thankfully have more Crystals after the previous night, though there are alsofewer defilements for you to gain Crystals from.
The second section is quite tight, but also very easy to place traps in. As such, place traps during the day in chokepointswith Toda’s Snare to slow the advance of any enemies.
Make sure torepair the additional Taiko drum in this areafor more chances and areas in which you can remove Seethe enhancements.
Another of the optional objectives in this mission is toremove enhancements from a grand total of 30 Seethe, so having as many active Taiko Drums as possible is essential.
