InDisney Dreamlight Valley, ever since The Forgetting, the mysterious event that caused the characters to lose their memories, Mushu the dragon is worried that he may forget his role as the Guardian of Dreamlight Valley again. To prevent this from happening again, Mushu requires your help in his first friendship quest.
The quest becomes available once you reach level twoFriendship with Mushu, which is quickly possible by gifting him one or two of his favorite items daily. In the quest, Mushu will ask you to help him build a giant stone dragon statue. Here’s a detailed guide on how to complete ‘A Reminder In Stone’ quest.
Where To Find Lucky Bugs
The first task in Mushu’s ‘A Reminder In Stone’ quest is togo back to the Mulan Realmandcatch three Lucky Bugs.Mushu believes these lucky bugs will bring good fortune.
Thankfully, these bugsleave a golden trail behind them as they move, making them easier to spot. Here’s where you can find each one:
In The Southern Field
One bug runs in a triangular patternnear the bridge over the riverclose to the Training Camp.
In The Eastern Forest
This bug is available at the bend in the path, in the middle of the trail,next to a cart surrounded by clusters of bamboo.
At The Training Camp
This bug moves in a random, zigzag pattern all over the camp. Simplystand in the middle of the Training Camp and wait for it to run to you.
Once you’ve caught all three bugs, return to Mushu.
How To Pick The Ideal Location
For your next objective, Mushu will give you a specialIncense Lanternand ask you to carry it around three different areas of the Valley to find the most suitable location for his Dragon Statue:
You simply need to equip the incense andwalk through these areasto complete this step. When you’re done,talk to Mushu again.He’ll ask you where to place the Dragon Statue. You can choose either of the three locations, as all of them are equally good choices for the statue.
Make sure you don’t glide or run while holding the incense as that will disrupt the smoke.
How To Get The Resources To Build The Statue
When you’ve decided on a location, the next step in the ‘A Reminder In Stone’ quest is to build the statue. To craft the Great Stone Dragon Statue, you’ll need to collect:
40 x Stones
You can obtain Stonebymining rock spots and breaking rocksaround the Valley.
25 x Softwood
You canpick up Softwoodon theground near trees in Peaceful Meadow,Forest of Valor, The Plaza, or Glade of Trust.
Once you have the all materials you need,head to any crafting station in the Valley to build the Great Stone Dragon Statue.After it is built, you can place the statue anywhere you like and talk to Mushu.
Where To Find The Decorations For The Statue
While Mushu is happy about the statue being made, he feels like it is too plain and can use some decorations. For this step, you’ll have to collect the following:
10 x Red Flowers
Any red flower, like theRed Daisy in The Peaceful Meadow, or theRed Roses in The Beast’s Greenhousewill work.
5 xGarnets
You can get these red gems by mining inThe Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, The Plains, or The Wastes.
5 xAquamarines
You can findthese light blue gemsin theForest of Valor and at the Dazzle Beach.
5 xTopaz
You can get these yellow gems via gem rocks at theDocks, the Plaza, and the Courtyard on Eternity Isle.
Once you’ve collected the decorations, give them to Mushu. He thinks theGarnetsare the finest, since the red stones would add some pop to the Great Stone Dragon Statue.
How To Light Up The Torches
Finally, Mushu recommendsilluminating the area around the Great Dragon Statue with Torches.He lights up one of the three torches using his flame breath andasks you to take care of the other two.
To complete this step, you need to break thegold and black Flint Rocks that are found on Dazzle Beach,using theRoyal Pickaxe.They will provide you with the Flint you need to ignite the two Torches next to the statue.
Once all the torches have lit up,talk to Mushu one more timeto complete the ‘A Reminder In Stone’ quest. Completing this quest assures Mushu that he won’t forget his duties again and strengthens your friendship with the little dragon.
