You can find many Pals in Sakurajima Islands inPalworld. Some of them are quite rare, and you can only find them in very specific locations at a certain time. There are quite a few nocturnal Pals that you will only encounter at night. Sootseer is one of these nocturnal spooky Pals, as it only appears in one particular area in Sakurajima when it’s pitch dark.
There are only a few Pals with dual element types, and Sootseer is a Fire and Dark type whose Paldeck entry is no.118.
How To Find Sootseer
Sootseer is only found nearSecluded CemeteryinSakurajima Islands at night.
If you fast-travel to the Waypoint near the Cemetery, you will encounter a few Sootseer if you wander around. However, don’t go too far astheir habitat area only occupies a small region.
you may change your world time setting to have longer nights and shorter days if you want to catch a few Sootseer faster.
How To Catch Sootseer
The Sootseer that you will come across will bearound level 50. They are quite formidable considering their dual type, and you need to beware of bothFire and Dark typeattacks.
Do not bring Grass and Ice palsto the battle, as they areweak against Fire. Also,avoid sending Neutral Palsin your team as they arevulnerable to Dark-type moves.
Water-type moves are effectiveagainst Sootsear, considering it’s Fire-type. We also recommend youbring Dragon Palsas they are strong against Dark-type Pals.
Sootseer has decent defense stats, but it’s better not to use powerful Dragon or Water moves to avoid overkilling it. Using low or medium-powered moves such asIgnis Breath and Flare Stormare moreeffective in lowering HP enough to capturea Pal successfully,
Craft someUltimate Spheresto catch Sootseer after you lower its hp enough for a high capture rate.
you may catch it with Ultra and Legendary Spheres, but it’s not worth wasting so many spheres with a low capture rate.
Sootseer will hit you with itslong-range Fire and Dark attacks, so avoid getting too close to it. It will hurl several balls your way, which you can dodge by rolling or jumping.
Sootseer will also hit you withmultiple fire projectiles. You can dodge these by avoiding their trajectory path. We recommend youdamage it from a distanceusing any gun.
TheAssault Rifle is perfect for lowering a Pal’s HPas it shoots them rapidly, dealing little damage, making you less likely to kill them.
Sootseer Utility And Stats
Sootseer is a strong Dark and Fire type with great attack and decent defense stats. It will be effective in combat against Grass, Ice, and Neutral Pals.
If you are running short on Bones as a crafting material, Sootseer’s Partner Skill"Grave Robber"will help you obtain more if you assign it to a ranch.
Sootseer has versatile work suitability, and it can help you with multiple tasks if you assign it to your base. While it consumes a lot of food, Sootseer’s high work speed makes up for it, along with its ability to handleKindling, Handiwork, Gathering, Mining, and Farming.
