InPalworld, every Pal has unique abilities that can help you as you explore the Palpagos Islands. While some Pals are useful early on, you’ll outgrow them in favor of more powerful allies that can run your bases smoothly. With new Pals added in the Sakurajima update, there are even more possibilities to uncover.

Dogen is one of the newest Pals added to the Palpagos Islands, and they are a versatile ally to have deployed at your base. We’ll help you not only find one, but catch one so you can increase base production and complete your Paldeck in Palworld!

Where To Find Dogen

Dogen isexclusive to Sakurajima, specifically around theMoonflower Tower region. Keep your eyes peeled for the sight of a red broad-brimmed hat and long dark ears.

You’ll need to come prepared withyour best weapons and armor, as Dogen is not to be trifled with. You’ll needa Legendary Sphereto try and capture them, so make sure to bring plenty.

When you do find Dogen, be prepared for a fight. They’re aneutral element Pal, but their attacks pack quite a punch. Be sure togive them distance and call back your Palsif anything seems uncertain.

TheirWholehearted Stance attackis lethal!

When you see Dogencreating a shield, call back your Pal andrefrain from attacking, otherwise your attack will be nullified and Dogen will counter.

Bring your best Dragon element Palsto whittle down its health. The element type advantage will help you here. Then, once Dogen’s health is low, you canthrow a Legendary Sphereat them to capture them.

Deploying Dogen At Base

They’re quiteuseful at your base, as they areskilled with handiwork, lumbering, medicine, transporting, and gathering. you may deploy them using the Palbox, which will allow them to roam your base freely.

Unless youassign them to a specific task, Dogen will go where they are needed. Keep an eye on theirsanity and hungerto make sure they are well taken care ofso they don’t get sick or injured.

How To Use Dogen’s Partner Skill

Their Partner Skill is also quite useful, asHomeward Prayer allows you to move to the closest basewhen activated. While itcannot be used in dungeons or towers, it’s a useful skill thatprovides a quick escapeshould you need one.

There is a1,000 second cooldown, so make sure to keep track of it!

If you’re up against a challenge orif you’re overencumbered, you can easily go back to your nearest base in a flash. Save yourself the time and energy required to trek back to a fast travel point when you have this Pal at your side!
