You are a meta-human in the horror survival world ofOnce Human. With the Stardust that has polluted the world, Deviants have also invaded. These are frequently hostile creatures that make the region a dangerous place to roam, but there are also regular surviving animals that can be found.
Animals in the region can be hunted for their meat or their skin for crafting items and cooking up nutritious dishes. Different types of animals can be found in the wild, and you can make their materials easier to come by through capturing and taming them. This gives you an option for gathering meat and skin without having to leave home!
How To Unlock Animal Ranching
Animal ranching is a technology that requires you to unlock two Memetics. The first Memetic isAnimal Captureand the second isAnimal Taming. Both can be foundunder the Logistics tabin your Memetics menu.

How To Capture Animals
Animals need to be weakened before capturing them.Lower their health by attacking them, then wait for an opportunity to aim at them.
When you’ve got a good shot, bring out your tranquilizer andshoot the weakened animal.
you may wait for a scared animal to calm down andsneak up on themso that you can get a better opportunity to aim at them.
Once the animal has been knocked out, you can simply walk up to them and capture them byinteracting with their body.
Your captured animals can befound in your inventoryand they have carry weight.
How To Tame Animals
Your captured animals will not yet be tame. They will still be afraid of you, or they may be aggressive towards you. You will need toreach a certain level of tamenessin order for them to respond better to you.
Tamed animals will also startproducing drops.
To raise their tameness level, you need tosupply them with food and waterby placing them on the ground or in the Animal Trough. Certain animals havefavorite food that will raise their tameness quicker.
It is recommended that youkeep your animals within an enclosureto keep track of them easily. A fence will work to keep them in an assigned space, but they may clip through ceilings and walls.
As you care for your animals, they will increase in level of tameness, andeventually they will drop produce. You will still need to slaughter them if you want their meat.
Different captured animals come invarying grades. Higher grades will providehigher quality produce. Better grades of meat willincrease the buff effectsand will allow the buffs that they grant tolast longer.
