In the world ofOcean World: Eden Crafters, you’ll be touching down on a desolate planet, alone and with few resources, but plenty of ingenuity. It’s up to you to help terraform this world into something hospitable for other humans, and it’s going to be a long path full of exploration, building, and tribulations.

At first, all you’ll have is a few materials, and you’ll need to craft plenty more as you progress in the game, from power-generating machines and a livable base, to machines that help automate resource gathering and begin the terraforming process. If you’re having trouble with the systems, we’ve got you covered.

How To Craft Materials And Furniture

Whilemost thingsare going to bemade in the Build Mode tabin your menu, thematerials you’ll needto make themcome from crafting themat one of the various crafters or producers; theWorkbench,Assembly Table, orPlant Grower. The first thing you’ll need to do isgather enough resources, and themajority of any itemin the gameneeds one of several base materials.

On Ocean World, the starting planet, you’llfind several materialsyou can minein the immediate area around your ship:

You’ll want tomake your first base close to your spawnlocation, as oxygen is in short supply initially andentering the menu for a break does not pause the game, so your food bar will continue to go down.

You’ll first need tocraft at least one Living Compartment, which you canmake with Iron Plates and Cement, including those fromyour ship’s inventory, and place it somewhere on the planet. Inside, you’ll have a small square big enough to house at least one of themost important furniture items, the humbleWorkbench.

The Workbench gives you the ability tocraft the most processed materials, such asIron Bars,Cables, andGears, which you’llneed to craft more advanced machines, buildings, and equipment.

Some recipes also require Organics, which aremade in the Plant Growerfurniture that becomes available soon after you unlock the Workbench.

At the Workbench, you may select any item andstart a crafting queuefor it by selecting it, and you canadd more items to it by repeatedly selecting the item, up until you run out of materials, or switch recipes.

Once you’ve got the materials, it’s time to actually do some crafting; the Workbenchhandles most basic materials, and morerecipes will be unlockedas youunlock new furniture or materials. Evenonce you get more advanced crafting stations, you’ll alsoneed to return to the Workbenchfor what it offers.

Leaving the Workbenchwhile you’re in a crafting queue will end the crafting process andmake you have to start the queue over.

Withadvanced crafting stationslike theAssembling Bench, they can eachmake specialized materials from base materialsthat areused for better Production structures. It also makes technological materials andEquipment that improve things like your maximum Oxygen.

You’ll seewhat materials an item needs to be craftedand a description of it, and you may alsopin recipes to your hotbar by right-clicking them,so you can give yourselfquicker access to crafting multiple copiesof things you’ll end up needing several of, like Containers and Conveyors.

If youneed more flat groundto build on, or you’ve accidentally made a hole, you cancraft Ground from the Blocks categoryin your Build Menu and use it to terraform an area or fix holes.

For the most part, you’llwant your things inside a Base Compartment, which is crafted fromIron Plates and Cement. Each Base Compartmentcreates a decent area of living space, andmultiple of them can be connected togetherto form one large building.

To do this, you’ll need tobe inside the Base Compartmentyou want to expand, then craft the next compartment, and face one of the walls. You’ll see atransparent blue previewof it, then all you’ve got to do isconfirm it to replace the walland add it onto the compartment.

If you try toadd a Base Compartment from the outside, it will treat it as making a separate building, and theywon’t connect together.

Inside the Compartment, itcomes standardwithone door and three blank walls, but thesewalls can be replacedwith other Living Compartment piecesby building one likea Window, thenapproaching the wallyou want to replace.

As you build onto your base, you’re able to also use the Living Compartment pieces tosection off and make individual roomsand areas with other pieces, and this can be done bybuilding a piece such as a wall, thenattaching them to the central pillarsthat appear as you expand the base.

Combined with the furniture items, you canuse Walls and Interior Doors to create individual roomsfor you or to make rooms specific for certain crafters.

How To Make Building Blocks

Besides the actual base pieces, you alsohave ones for more freeform buildingor additional designing, like thePlatform and Exterior Stairsallow you tomake bases up higher off the ground. Thesinglular blockscan be used tobuild structures by themselves, as well asreplace the ground or make roadsif youuse the Ground versionof them.

Most blocks, like Wooden Planks, also havevarious shapes availableand this is accessed byselecting the block, thenholding left-clickto enter into a small menu of shaped variants.

You canscroll onto one by moving your mouse left or right, thenselect it by exitingthat menu. Each block hasbasic options like stairs and panels, but some, like brick, alsohave different-sized columnsavailable as well, for example.

You canselect the Ground versionof a block within thesame block variation menuavailable, and it’s generallyat the end of the list.

Blocks can either beput down as they are, or byusing the grid systemto show their location precisely, andsnap to each other individually, just like any ground blocks do on the ground. They alsodon’t need to be placed on a Platformor a Base Compartment to be viable either, but they can give it some fun variation, especially if you don’t feel like flattening out an area.

Thedownside to these structuresis thatinitially, you won’t be able to stay inside them for longdue to thelack of oxygen, so you’ll want tostay stocked up on Oxygen Capsulesuntil you’ve terraformed the planet more andincreased the oxygen in the atmosphereby placing andusing several Ground Fertilizers. Once youdo have enough oxygen, freely made buildings can serve several functions, such asacting as your new baseor as storage housesfor organization purposes, as you’reable to place any type of Living Compartment piece, Furniture, or Equipment structureinside them.
