Melinöe’s story inHades 2doesn’t end when she defeats Chronos. While you aren’t required to use theOath Of The Unseento make runs more difficult, the game will reward you for doing so by allowing you to become Night’s Champion.
As he did with Zagreus, Schelemeus will present Melinöe with the challenge of clearing the Underworld and the surface at increasingly higher fear thresholds. You’re free to mix and match testaments, so long as you hit the correct threshold, so it’s a nice opportunity for players to experiment with different modifiers.

Hades 2 is currently in Early Access on Steam. As the game develops, more content will be added. We will update this article if anything changes.
How To Become Night’s Champion
After you’ve done a few runs with the Oath of the Unseen active, talk to Schelemeus. He’ll tell you about how you’re able to become Night’s Champion.
When you go to the Altar of the Unseen, you may see a note on the left-hand side telling you what fear level you need to unlock each level. Once you complete a run, it’ll be crossed off.

First, you need to clear a run ateight fear, then 16, then 32,but in all cases you’ll have toclear both the surface and the Underworldfor a total of, at minimum, six runs.
Other than that, you’re not required to use any weapons or specific testaments. Which ones will be easier for you will ultimately depend on your play style, thoughoften it is better to slowly build up by maxing out one testament before moving on to the next one.

Which Testaments To Take To Become Night’s Champion
Depending on how you like to play the game, some Testaments will be more of an issue than others. But to start with, here are some generally easy ones you may max out to get to each fear level.
Eight Fear
Vow of Rebuke
All foes get a shield and require two extra hits to defeat. As this doesn’t actually affect their health or shields it’s pretty manageable in the grand scheme of things.
Vow of Wandering
This causes enemies from the next region to have an increased chance of appearing in your current one. For example, you might get a Lamia in Oceanus. However they’re not actually stronger, and in the case of Oceanus, most enemies there are hurt by how cramped the areas are compared to the Fields of Mourning.
Vow of Haunting
All foes have a 50 percent chance of becoming a Revenant, which may respawn into that same enemy. However you can collect this by running through the Revenant before it respawns, making it pretty easy to overcome.
Vow of Panic
You start each location with 50 percent magick. However, if you have The Unseen Arcana equipped it’s not going to matter.
Sixteen Fear
Once you hit 16 fear, you should be equipping these in addition to the ones above.
Vow of Commotion
Each encounter will have more foes, however they don’t all show up at once. It simply means an extra group will spawn compared to normal.
Vow of Forsaking
When you choose a Boon, the two blessings you didn’t pick will no longer be available. At this point you should already know which builds you like, so this can actually help you narrow down the list if you need something.
Vow of Blood
Only take the first two levels of this. It will increase the amount of damage enemies do to you.
At 32 fear, these are the best vows to take.
Vow of Dominance
All foes have 30 percent more HP, which means it will take longer to kill them.
Vow of Fury
This makes foes faster, so you have to be careful about dodging them.
Vow of Destitution
All items are more expensive. This will only really be a problem in earlier regions of the game, as you can rack up crowns easily by the Field of Mourning and Tartarus, however if you really find yourself struggling, you can use Charon’s coin purse.
Vow of Arrogance
Boons of rarity higher than common will prime a certain amount of Magick, effectively lowering your maximum.
Vow of Scars
Only take one level of this.It will make any healing you find less effective, but at the first level only slightly.
Best Build For Becoming Night’s Champion
In the Crossroads begin the nightwith as much health as possible by equippinga maxxed out Moonstone Axe in the aspect of Melinöe, andFrinos with a Rank 3 life bond.
In terms of Arcana, you should haveThe Unseen, The Moon, Eternity, The Wayward Son, and The Queenequipped to ensure that you get some passive healing, survive longer, and don’t have to worry about your Hexes and magick.

Best Boons For Becoming Night’s Champion
Once you’ve begun your run, focus on gettingAphrodite and Hestia boonsduring your run to gettheir Duo Boon, Hot Flash. This causes your Scorch effects to go on indefinitely while a foe is afflicted with Weak, and will result in a lot of passive damage.
The best combo for this is Aphrodite’s Wispy Wiles combined with a Flame Strike from Hestia, but getting the Duo Boon is what’s ultimately most important.
This means you canfocus on avoiding enemiesand still do decent damage.
Other helpful boons will be Super Nova and Prominence Flare from Apollo, Divine Vengeance from Zeus, and Fixed Gain, and Fixed Gain from Hephaestus.
