This Trial is unlocked immediately after completing the level 99 Dungeon Origenics.

Everkeep Walkthrough

If you challenge Everkeep with a party ofTrusts, you’ll gainone stack of Wilfullupon entering the battle, which will allow you tosurvive a lethal attack once. If you take lethal damage, you’llinstead be returned to full healthand the stack will be consumed.

Falling off the arena when the edges fall away during phase two of the fight will instantly reset the fight without consuming a stack of Wilfull.

The arena will have adangerous AoE surrounding itthatinflicts Bleedingif you step inside, dealingdamage over time. This can’t be cleansed by Esuna.

Phase 1

Zoraal Ja will use the following attacks in his first phase, untilaround 30 percent health remaining.

Soul Overflow

Roomwide AoE

Deals damage to all party members and grants Zoraal Ja a stacking Damage Up buff. Recover with AoE healing.

Double-edged Swords

AoE

Strikes one half of the arena with ahalf-circle AoE to the front or back of the bossfollowed immediately by anAoE striking the other half. Avoid the first AoE by standing in the telegraph of the second, then move into the newly created safe area.

Patricidal Pique

Tankbuster

Dealshigh damage to the main Tank. Usedefensive cooldownsto mitigate this damage.

Calamity’s Edge

Zoraal Ja will first useSoul Overflow, which will createvisions of Mamool Jaaround the arena. Then, he will castCalamity’s Edge, dealing damage to all party members andturning the NPCs into circular AoEs. Move away from the NPCs to avoid this attack.

Vorpal Trail

Summons four swords around the edges of the arena that willfire a line AoE forward. Then, the swords willturn and take one step inward, toward the center of the arena. They will repeat this process until the line AoEs aredirectly in the center of the arena, at which point they willrepeat this entire process again, but inreverse, travelingback out to the edges of the arena.

As the fight progresses, Zoraal Ja will combine these mechanics together. For example, he will useDouble-edged Swords during Vorpal Trail, orDouble-edged Swords and Calamity’s Edgeat the same time.

vorpal trail swords creating line aoes in a square

Zoraal Ja will repeat these mechanics until hereaches 30 percent health remaining. At this point, he will useSoul Overflowagain, knocking all party members back andtransitioning into phase twowith a cutscene.

Phase 2

Zoraal Ja will gain an entirelynew set of attacksand mechanics in his second phase.

Smiting Circuit(Zoraal Ja readies his blades!)

zoraal ja’s second phase form

Deals damage in an AoE according to the position of Zoraal Ja’s floating blue swords.

Dawn of an Age

zoraal ja’s blade warp combo creating intersecting pathways between platforms

Deals damage toall party membersanddestroys the indicated section of the arena, transforming the arena into a4x4 gridof tiles. Shortly after, four identical floating platformswill appear at theintercardinaldirections of the arena.

Vollok

A set of tiles will bemarked with glowing swords in a pyramid shape. Move out of the telegraphed area to avoid taking damage.

Bitter Reaping

Targetsboth Tankswith a high-damage attack.Spread out from one anotherand usedefensive cooldowns.

Sync(The distorted world comes into synchrony)

zoraal ja’s half circuit creating glowing blades

Zoraal Ja will first castVollok, causingsword formations to appear on two of the floating platforms. Then, he will castSync, which will cause one of the platform’s sword formations to explode, which will thenmirror this explosion on the main platform. To avoid this, determine which platform is being targeted, thenlook at how the swords are positionedandmove accordingly on the main platform.

WhenDawn of an Ageis used for the second time, Vollok will creategroups of swords on all four floating platforms. Sync will thencombine two of these Vollok sword sets together, overlapping their AoEs and reducing the number of safe tiles.

Gateway

Special

Createsintersecting tethers between two of the floating platforms and the main platform, linking them together for Zoraal Ja’s next few mechanics.

Later in the fight, Gateway will connectall four platformsto the main platform with different variations of paths.

Blade Warp

Line AoE

Summons swords on the floating platformsthat will then fire in aline AoEbeforetraveling through the Gatewaysand onto the main platform. To avoid this attack, you’ll need to determine the trajectory of the incoming line AoEs and move to a safe tile.Trace the path of the swords through the Gatewaysto find which tiles will become unsafe.

The second timeDawn of an AgeandBlade Warpare used, swords will besummoned to all four platforms, withtwo sets resolving at the same timecreatingintersecting line AoEson the main platform. Track the path of the swords carefully to avoid this combo.

Actualize

Deals damage toall party membersand returns the arena to its original state.

Half Full

Zoraal Ja will strike onehalf of the arena, indicated by either theleft or right glowing blade. Move to theopposite side of the glowing bladeto avoid.

Half Circuit

This attackcombines Smiting Circuit and Half Full, targetinghalf the arenaand either acircle or ring AoEdepending on the side of Zoraal Ja’s glowing blade and the position of the floating blades, respectively.

Fire III

AoE Markers

Immediately after Half Circuit resolves, all players will be targeted withAoE Markers. Spread out to avoid overlapping these.

Duty’s Edge

Stack Marker

Targets a random player with acontinuous Line Stack Marker. Group up on the targeted player’s position and stay there for the duration of this attack to spread out its damage.

Zoraal Ja will repeat these mechanics until he is defeated. Many of this boss’s mechanics are overwhelming the first time they appear, but will become easier to deal with as you learn the fight.

The main mechanics to watch out for are thevarious combos during Dawn of an Age. If you need to,focus entirely on tracking the path of the AoEson the outer platforms before worrying about dealing damage.
